He got tweaked against the Vikings but it wasn't related to his preseason injury.

thats what they say, but honestly, most secondary injuries are cause by overcompensating for the original. The doctors and training staff are also employeed by the team and not the players and i think springs was probably rushed back due to the craptacular defense played in his absence.

that said, I think portis can easily hit 1k, though 1.5k is probably out right now.

u guys should trade for thomas jones or benson cause portis is thru. He's too wimpy to hold up.

Coming from the Bears fan that would benefit much more. Nice try.
This guy is crazy. Bears are in the easiest division. I dont really care for his contributions in this discussion.

portis is the face of this team and he will bring a spark not only to the offense but the defense as well. After the texans we should have enough momentum heading back home against j'ville. they got a physical game this week at indy so look for them to be beat up when were getting healthy. This thing is gonna take off i'll garauntee it.

Year Team G GS Att Yds Avg Lg TD 20+ 1st
2003 Denver Broncos 13 13 290 1591 5.5 65 14 13 76

Yes I think he is fully capable of getting 1000 yds this year. I don't think 1500 is out of the question.

With Gibbs in Dec record + Saunders offense I think he will be a monster after game 8 at the latest. It is just going to take a bit to get this O cranking.

If I could caviat that with a thought (hope?) I think there is a good shot at him getting 2K total yds- he is going to be phat recieving out of the backfield.

2k yards is hard, cause he's need 125 a game, and right now he has 39 rush, 11 receiving. so he's already 200 yards behind schedule and this Oline isn't as good as originally claimed. It'd be a lot easier if you switched out dockery for hutchinson though ;)

also, we'll be facing teams like the eagles and jags that are VERY good at killing the run.

That is why there was (hope) involved :)

Larry Johnson reached 1700 and only started 11 games in the same system portis is in now. He'll reach atleast 1300 with no more stebacks

LJs line was the #1 in football and he had a better QB as well.
