I think we should be discussing Gregg Williams not Al Saunders or Joe Gibbs!
We need a cover corner. His name is shawn springs. Our D has been exposed without him. Thats were we went wrong in the off season. Kenny Wright is awful. Walt Harris plays the position way better than wright or rumph. Both of those guys suck. FYI...just read in the post that springs tweaked his hamstring. I wonder if he will see the field this year.

Well if you're right on this one then I think we are gonna be in for a long season; I don't see Springs coming back 100% healthy until late in the season.

Let's not forget Prioulou. He's also a big contributer that we lost on play 1.

I was thinking them...just wasn't around to say them. The third year in a system is a critical year. We had finally established the power running game, and now had 3 speedy receivers to get downfield. We didn't need Saunders, yes I was excited, but I also believed our team was better suited for Gibbs offense.
Saunders' offense will work, it's still just football and not brain surgery, 700 page playbook included. We go through this every year, first Portis wasn't "suited" for Gibbs power running style and he bounces back to set a Redskins record for rushing yards. Then Coles thought the offense was too limited, and Moss comes in and sets the Redskins single season mark for receiving yards.
Rome wasn't built in a day. And while we all see the continuing struggles of the Redskins offense it's not related, its a new year with all new struggles. Some of the symptoms may be the same, but once Portis gets right I think we'll see the rebirth of cool around here.
By the way, I'm new to the DC area, where is a cool place to watch this Sunday's game in the Springfield-DC area? Preferably Metro accessible...

I see Mr. Saunders interviewed on T.V. couple days ago. He seem very defensive with reporter (maybe he better defensive than offensive, eh?) and also like he talk to reporter in condescending way, too. I don't understand they pay this guy 2 million when Gibbs go 10-6 without him last year! I don't like the way Saunders act and he not getting it done.

I think it's safe to say that everyone is on edge at Redskins Park right now, and I'm sure there has been some sleep deprived nights from the coaches trying to get this figured out.

It's very interesting watching all this unfold. I heard Gregg Williams didn't give any post game comments following the Dallas game, and here's a guy that loves to be interviewed.

If anyone is still worried about our coaching staff, I highly recommend this video posted by Torresa in another thread. Boy, it really makes me appreciate what we have now.

saunders is a great coach with a great system that is PROVEN! he had the number 1 offense in kc for the past 2 years. The problem is Gibbs is influening the plays that he is calling, you can see it in how game 2 was played. that was not a typical saunders run game he throw deep on first down among other things that game had a serious commitment to the run.

Proven to work with the #1 O line in the league and a great QB. Neither of which we have.
