Daseal can see the future, he already sees Gibbs' 4th ring. I knew you were a believer!

HOHO Screw Art History tests. Im burnt out! I wouldn't be suprised to see Gibbs get a 4th ring with the 'skins, but I think he'd be involved in some other facet of the game besides coaching. I don't think we have the correct talent and enough consistancy yet to make a run, and I dont see him re-upping his contract. He's getting old, and coaching isn't easy on the body or mind.

As a college Football player I have to say that video games are no substitute for the real thing...TRUST ME lol

Thanks for stating the obvious. Why would you think playing EA Sports NCAA 2006 would help? Obviously you need to be playing MADDEN 2006.

Please read the disclaimer, below, before responding.

Excuse me, but I don't think any of us TiVo users ever claimed to know more than the coaches, we (offiss and I) merely rewatch the games to see who appears to have screwed up so we can discuss the players here on this forum. If jackassery is what we are doing, then "headupurassness" are those that constantly criticize anyone who questions the players or coaches. We don't claim to have the knowledge and know how of the coaches, but that doesn't mean we cant criticize. Under your logic no one on this site could ever criticize this team unless they were in the Football Hall of Fame.

Paulskinsfan, Don't waste your breath explaining a point that is that obvious, rest assured it doesn't sink in!

We have what I am going to coin for some of the posters around here as the stepford hogs, and they regergitate anything Gibbs say's and does, they have no opinion of thier own, and are pre-programed to repeat Gibbs is great, but when failure happens they go into attack mode with the old classic, HOW MANY SB RING'S DO YOU HAVE mantra, as if no one on the planet knows anything about football except Gibbs.

So I am now going to leave you PSF, sorry, I tried my best but I can't hold out any longer, Gibbs is great, Gibbs is great, Gibbs is Great, Gibbs is great, Gibbs is great, and whithout him there are no other coaches, see you on the other side PSF!

What was it that made you not lose faith in him back then? I mean I can understand now, because of his track record. But I'm just curious what made you believe back when he lost the first 5 games of his NFL coaching career?

When we lost our first five games of the 81 season it was obvious the team was not that far away. We were loosing games but you could tell it was going to be just a matter of time before they started winning. Couple that with the coaching tree of which JG derived, I was convinced the team was going to be successful. We looked better loosing then than we do now.

Quite often, but I don't believe you'd be able to comprehend such highly educated thoughts as what I possess. Thanks for making it personal...

We all see you can't get past this love affair you have with Patrick Ramsey...how well did Patrick play this past week by the way?

Really where was I pumping up Ramsey? As usuall you see the name Ramsey and without the ability to comprehend you immediatly go into an anti Ramsey mantra.

How did Ramsey do last week? A lot better than Brunell, at least he has value as a backup QB to a pretty good QB in Pennington when healthy, where as Brunell should be in the broadcast booth. Unfortuantly we can't do that because we have no legitamate backup.

Absolutly! I remember it well, we were loaded with talent it was a huge surprise that we had lost those games, you could see even early on that Gibbs was a real inovator, the big thing with those teams of the 80's and early 90's is this, when we took the field Gibbs had the luxuory all those years to usually have the best offensive line on the field, he was able to do what he wanted offensivly because the line made it happen, that's not taking place anymore and there lies the struggle. As bad as I believe Brunell is, I still believe with the right offensive line Gibbs could win a championship with him, a good QB would make it a lot easier though.

We all know how good Bobby beathard was, but I don't think any of us really realized how important he was to Gibbs success. As we watch draft after draft and we come away with a no brainer 1st rd pick and that's it, we then look back at the kind of talent BB brought in, and how he used the draft to build a dynasty, somewhere BB is laughing saying, I told you so Joe.

trusting the coaches to leave brunell in for 9 weeks in 2004 was a mistake. It's not like that can't or haven't been wrong before, and that 2004 team was capable of much better than 6-10 and the 29th ranked offense.

brunell had some amazing games, but he was done again by the eagles game and played like this in both playoff games and the preseason (which i said at the time was misused).

I don't think they're idiots, but i think it's legit to question whether this can really be a superbowl team at this clip. The players say they run plays with success in practice, but I kinda wonder, do the offensive and defensive lines give each other a false sense of security since they're both underperforming? and does brunell's success in 9 on 7 drills (no hitting the QB) keep him on the field (where he looks incompetent while focused on looking for pressure)?

Last year was the best year of brunell's career, he has the absolute worst come from behind record in the NFL and the jags where able to win with 3 different QBs in 3 different weeks when he was out there (no name guys, before leftwich)... not that any of that explains the current situation, but he hasn't been healthy for an entire season for a long time, and he's never been a great QB (which is what al saunders is used to having).

I'm still waiting on the texan's game, but if they can't figure it out there, it's seriously time to at least see if it's the QB, cause i DID see balls skipping off the ground among other 2004 highlights last sunday.

maybe he does have another miracle spurt left, but the last one was only good for about 12 games, and with his age and the wear he's taken, I'd be surprised if another spurt lasts as long.

Plus, we had a great clutch kicker, A darn good QB, and a HOF running back. Unfortunately we don't have anything close to a HOF player on this team.
