Rumph almost had an INT in Week One too if he hadn't been trucked by Sean Taylor. I think he's a decent nickel CB. He's been better than Kenny Wright.

rumph looks like the best 49er we got. we seriously shouldn't be shopping through a 4-12 team's garbage.

rumph for taylor "i think i have a concussion" jacobs was a steal though. not because rumph is good (he does add decent depth) but because jacobs is absolutely worthless. I don't know if I would call it a 'steal'. You guys have gotten the better end so far no noubt, but receiving Mike Rumph in any way shape or form cannot be labled a steal.

To me it looked like he got burned but TO couldn't get a hold of it in time and Rumph got in there to make the play. The broken finger bothered him a lot I think, normally TO has that TD.

he did he didnt make up for shit.........plus he stripped the ball from a man with a broke finger

Can you tell us which hand has the broken finger? And was that hand the one that held the ball as it was stripped away?

You probably never will because he'll STAY hurt. At least Rumph is on the field for us.

I'm pretty sure T.O.'s broken finger is on his right hand

Yeah, I'm not sure which of his hands has the broken finger, but wideouts don't hold on to the ball with their fingertips. They hold the ball with their forearms.

I maintain that the strip had nothing to do with the broken finger.

I actually think Rumph is going to develop into a very adequate nickel for us in the not too distant future. He seems to be around the ball, or just a step away here and there.
