"Don't find a fault. Find a remedy"
Time to move on from the drama.
Offensively: Attack down field. Force the defence to breakdown instead of waiting for them to breakdown. Alot less Ladell Betts. Cooley is a natural H-Back. But he struggles in TE blocking and route running situations. Move him around and possibly play him in the slot so he wont get bumped at the line.
Defensively: Not much we can do to add depth. Play ADE more.
Special Teams: Continue to play that way.
Special Note:
I'm happy for Rock. He is a good guy and excellent redskin. I would like to see rock get more carries in the offence.
Dallas: They did a good job of making changes. They didnt let Glenn cover Moss. They made cooley fight to get off the line of scrimmage. They did a good job.
The coaches need to adjust to the players a little bit more. Ladell isnt Portis. Cooley isnt Gonzales.

I like the title of your post, it headlines one of my sentiments exactly in that the time has come to think of solutions (if we know of any) as opposed to repeatedly pointing out the problem. It's plain for the world to see we have problems, what is not so clear is how do we fix them? We have one of the highest paid, and most experienced coaching staffs in the history of the NFL and I'm counting on them to get it right. There are several things that have been repeatedly pointed out that we feel will bring us some relief, starting with the benching of Brunell, but knowing JG like I do, there's no way he's going to sit Brunell. What we must hope for is that the coaches will continue driving home the points of importance to these players, and that they will finally get it and begin to play the way we all feel they're capable.

It's so refreshing to hear Redskins fans being positive and optimistic. You guys will live alot longer than some here! :)

If we lose to the Texans next week, I'll be dead by Monday morning.

I have a simple cure - start winning in the trenches particularly on passing downs, and we'll start winning games. Brunell has virtually no time to get rid of the ball, hence the deep pass is taken away as a viable option. On the flip side, first Brad Johnson, then Bledsoe had all day to throw, especially on 3rd down. I hate how conservative Gregg Williams is coaching with Springs out. When was the last time he rushed 3 on a crucial 3rd and 10? Bledsoe must have had five seconds to work thru all his progressions before dumping to Marion Barber for the first down that set the stage for T. Glenn's TD that broke the game open.

The changes we want most will not occur unless we either lose to the Texans or Mark Brunell gets seriously hurt. I'm not so sure, at this point, if we can even beat the Texans. Afterall, they do have a better Quarterback than we do and we don't have the passrush to alter his game; as Philly and Indy were able to do. I love my Skins but we are in a serious mess here.
Getting Springs and Portis back to 100% will go a long way in curing our woes.
But we have alot of other issues that need immediate attention. The stupid penalties and mental errors. We're just not playing smart football right now.
We need to play smarter, and we need to play more efficiently on 3rd downs on both sides of the ball.

Does ANYONE know the status on Springs??? They keep saying day to day... what does that mean??? 2 weeks, 4, 1????
I think at this point Springs literally is day to day and could return at any time.
