Alright the offense is a problem, but is anyone else concerned about the D too?
Dumb penalties.
Shoddy tackling.
Missed opportunities (Rogers dropping an easy INT)
Too many big plays given up.
Missing Springs hurts. But that doesn't excuse the mental errors and overall sloppiness we've seen the past 2 weeks. This is a unit that returned the majority of the starters. Same system for the 3rd year in a row.
So what's the problem??

Is the line healthy? That's my first thought.

I was watching the game yesterday and someone uttered, "damn the redskins d sucks". I said that was the first time in 2 years i had heard that. That hurt.
WTF is up with our boy GW? Our 3rd down defense is beyond atrocious

I heard that we signed a pass rusher named Carter when are we going to see him play?

I gotta' agree TAFKAS. Griffin used to be such a force and we hardly got a push in the middle.
Rogers missing INTs? That's par for the course. :D

Rogers missing INTs? That's par for the course. :D they say GW yelled at him all offseason fro the one in seattle and was going to make sure he never did it again. Riiiiiight.

I think I yelled something like "9th overall piece of shit" at the TV when Rogers dropped that potential INT. You have got to come up with that one.
I really don't like Carter at all because he has done absolutely nothing to make me like him. GW was comparing him to a young Jevon Kearse, but I don't think he got close to bledsoe once last night. I'd like to see Wynn get int he game a little more.
Rogers just has to start making those plays. The ball hit him right in the chest and he flat out dropped it.
Thankfully Taylor made a play right after with the strip.

--Andre Carter sucks. At the very least, he was supposed to draw double teams and open things up for Philip Daniels. HA!
--They've put all of their stock into Cornelius Griffin and given him absolutely no help. How many seasons were they expecting him to stop the run all by himself?
-- Drafting Rocky was a mistake. The same mentality the coaching staff has with regard to Mark Brunell, equally applied to Shawn Springs. They blindly thought they could endlessly rely on him, and now it's come back to bite them.
-- Yet another season went by without any thought of addressing the pass rush other than throwing money at a 49er castoff. And now because Shawn Springs is out, they have no ability whatsoever to apply pressure to the opposing quarterback -- because, you know, you have to have a shutdown corner to in order to get sacks. How's that for some backwards logic?

Yes, the defense has been just as much at fault as the offense. Last year, the defense bailed out the offense several times, including the playoff win at Tampa. With the defense being pretty weak this year, the offense owes it to them to step up. Unfortunately, that probably won;t happen too often this season.
