0-2 is way too early to give up. 14 games to go, 14! 5 division games to go!

All I can say is look back to last year. 5-6. The season appeared to be lost. I for one sure thought it was. The team turned it around. Anything is possible and it's a very long season.

Things can only improve from here on out.

I agree its early, but much like our preseason, it is hard to not press when the team is looking this bad.
If we were 0-2 and we did better from week one to week two it would not be so bad, but god did we ever regress. Sure the Cowyboys are probably better then Minny, but we made them look like the steal curtain.
I don't know if we looked this bad during all of 2004.

And 0-2 hurts more because we're 0-1 in the division and 0-2 in the conference:

Chew on this for a while: The two biggest reasons the Redskins made the playoffs last season were their 5-1 division and 10-2 conference records. (They got swept by the AFC West.) They're now 0-1 in the division and 0-2 in the conference. So obviously, they're going to have to find another formula this year -- net touchdowns or something.

I assumed that the offense was going to start off a little slow and weren't going to have a lot of rhythm early in the season - but the defense is more worrisome for me. Does not having springs impact the defensive performance that much ?

I thought that the defense would need to win the games early on, but they just aren't that strong right now.

I waited 8 months for this and there is no way i am giving up after 2 weeks. We were 5-6 and we won 5 straight and 3 of those were in the division.

We were 2-0 a few years ago under spurrier; hot damn that turned out well didn't it?

Relax everyone, this is just the coaches keeping the scheme bland and vanilla, so they don't reveal too much...

The thing that really struck me from the game last night was how much pressure they got on Brunell. Campbell wouldn't have done any better facing that sort of rush. Both Skins lines have been outplayed through two games. If they can't step it up against the Texans, we know we have serious problems.

Like many of you I have been anxiously awaiting the start of the season. I must say the Redskins are looking pathetic. I am not a fan of Mark Brunnel. I keep asking myself What Did This Team do in the Offseason. We need a QB and fast or it will be a painful season. No I'm not a fair weather fan. I've been following this team for over 40 years. M. B. under or over threw his open receivers ALL NIGHT long last night a and even against the Vikings. Based on ehat I have seen (and it hurts me to say so) take the Texans and bet the spread. Does this look like a $2M dollar offense to anyone. So what Portis is hurt if we only have 1 player then let's fold up and go home. Where is the Pride?

I don't think anyone's giving up. We're just very concerned because this is a playoff team that picked up several players, and we're moving backward.

We need to remind Brunell that Lloyd and Randel El - and NOT Mr. Sideline and The Ground - are the newest addition to our receiving corps.

I knew we'd be in this position after the devistating Minnesota loss. Here's what I have to say:

My preseason projection was 12-4. The loss to Dallas was projected in that 4. The Minnesota game was not. To be 12-4 and in position for HFA, they must now win a game that I have projected them to lose (Jacksonville (1-0, tonight pending), at Philadelphia (1-1), at Tampa Bay (0-2)), as well as take care of all the other opponents. It's very doable. I know it looks grim right now, but when you think about it, we played good enough to beat the Vikings (who have proved themselves a good team), and the Dallas game wont matter to anyone in two weeks.

Chins up Redskins fans.

We're 0-2 and only 1 game out of first.

Only 1 division game down, still 5 to go. All is not lost even though things seem pretty damn bleak right now.

That being said we need to get on track and FAST.

And thank the Good Lord for it, and the Giants too. Fight on, Fight on.. this team isn't a Redskins team unless it's fights!

Let's face it, this is a team who's goal is to win a SB. So its pretty dissappointing. Its not that we are 0-2 its that this is isn't a SB, playoff caliber team (at this point). I'll save this for the brunell thread but brunell is not the guy to take us to the superbowl.
