Yeah, like Mark Brunnell. Williams defense relies on safeties and corners, without them his defense fails. We have one safety that can cover people, one.
What does Brunell have to do with this??
He's already on the roster and his salary is accounted for.

We have about $3M of available room right now. I doubt we would want to use most of it on an over the hill and injured player.
We sign oft injured players all the ime who are over the hill and you're always fine with it, why not try Vincent? Brunnell was oft injured and over the hill when we signed him, same for Barrow. I really don't think Vincent is such a reach here.

What? We have $3 million in cap space. How did that make it this long without burning a hole in somebody's pocket?

sign him to a one year deal. we could get him vet minimum i bet, because he already gets 2.6 mil from bills, so in the end it would be him getting a yearly salary of over 3 mil even if he gets minimum wage

Yeah, I think you could get him for the vet min or slightly more.

He wont be healthy for several weeks supposedly. I would guess he wont get too much in salary. To me he is worth a workout and a cheap contract if we can get him. He need help in the secondary obviously.

You know what? I'll think I'll leave this one to the coaches.

Troy Vincent? How old is that guy? He's been around a long time if I'm thinking of the right guy.
Not for that price.

What I believe most of you are missing is that when he clears waivers, he is a FA, which means he can sign with anyone for the best deal he can get, not the $2.6M he will ALREADY BE GETTING from the Bills. There is only a $2.6M cap hit if someone claims him off waivers, and then it isn't $2.6, it's whatever the prorated remaining salary is at that time. He won't be picked up on waivers.
Assuming he's healthy by week 6, my bet is that he could be had for a $600k signing bonus and vet min for the remaining 10 games, which would be about $500k for the remainder of the year or $1.1M total cap hit for the skins. The guy is an experienced pro and we have a major deficit in the secondary positions currently. If he's healthy we'd be foolish not to at least consider it.
