However, it somehow got changed to "Skins&PsuFAN4LIFE (Apparently we will never win a SB.)". Any idea why the thread title was appended to the end of the link text? Am I doing something wrong? It makes all the thread pages "static"(they're not really static but the appear so to Google and friends) html pages which are much more search engine friendly. Google and the like handle differently the way they index when they get to pages like 'index.php?id='14318' versus the same thread but with the better title like '14318-thread-title-being-appended-urls.html' MTK 09-13-2006, 09:06 PM I was going to say it's magic, but FRPLG explained it to the T. onlydarksets 09-13-2006, 09:09 PM Magic, eh? Well, OK, but it's seriously cramping my witty style. onlydarksets 09-20-2006, 10:23 AM OK - I see what's happening. There is a new option when posting that I never noticed before called "Automatically retrieve titles from external links". I'm guessing that when I turn it off, it will post the actual URL (or the text I put in place of the URL). So, with the option turned off, it stays as: http://www.nfl.com/ Whereas, with the option turned on, it becomes: NFL.com - Official Site of the National Football League (http://www.nfl.com/) (http://www.nfl.com/) What I can't find is how to set the default to be turned off.
