you should've asked him if he was going to sit down for every play, and then called security :)

That was the best possible response. :goodjob:

You couldnt see the field while sitting in your seats? Your shouting and cheering can't be heard while sitting and not blocking other's view? I dont think wanting to see the game and not the guy in front of you's back is an unreasonable request, especially with how much the tickets cost.

Don't tell me you're advocating for sitting down and behaving at a football game.

I'm advocating cheering like hell without blocking others view of the action.

Ahh, you should have called me! I was thoroughly boozed up and almost got into a real one with an Eagles fan in the bathroom.

What an idiot. He's too lazy to stand up to see the game? In my section, everyone was standing up and screaming when the defense was on the field. He needs to get with the times or go home.

Thanks Irish, I thought that I would be the lone dissenting voice on this. I've been regularly going to games at FedEx since it opened. Before that I was a sporadic visitor to RFK. At every game there are always a handful of jokers, who are inevitably not season ticket holders, who feel that they need to make the most of their one game experience by getting drunk and urging everyone else to stand up and cheer. They will stand up whenever they want despite how many people's view they are blocking. If this is you let me clue you into why people get upset with this kind of behavior. The rest of us have been here before. We are not wine drinking snobs. We understand that specific situations warrant different responses. Different games warrant different responses. We know that you are excited but when you are in Rome do as the Romans do. We didn't pay $109 to see your back and have our behavior dictated by your drunk ass. When we score or when it's 3rd and 8 and they have the ball we'll stand up with you. Otherwise, keep your eyes on the field and ignore the beer vendor for a quarter. Plus you might want to learn the word to "Hail to the Redskins" espescially the middle verses.

That would be nice in a perfect world.

That's like going to a concert and expecting people to sit down in front of you.

Well Glonn, what if I were to tell you that this is when people stood up in my section and yet they were still getting yelled at to sit down; because that is exactly what was happening. Likewise, my sister was getting yelled at to sit down 5 minutes before kickoff. The woman screaming at her tried to use that BS season ticket holder excuse too. Her and I don't have season tickets, but we go to about 5-6 games a year and have for quite a few years now, so we know what to expect. Just because someone signed up for season tickets back in the 80's or earlier doesn't mean that they are more of a fan.
The Redskins try to act like we have such great fans and such a loud/tough home field advantage, but it's the stuck up people who make FedEx nothing more than big, when it should be one of the hardest places to play in.

If you want a clear view of the game for the entire time that stay at home in fron of the TV!

I couldnt have said it better myself.

There are times to stand up and cheer like the Vikes final drive last night and even whe the skins were going in for their 1st TD of the year but on every play when the other team has the ball. Gimme a break.
