Monday night was a disaster but a win against Dallas would sweeten things. I'm still optimistic. Bledsoe sucked against the Jaguars but our secondary needs to play a whole lot better than Monday. Corners looked poor, Archuleta over rated as feared and ST still giving away dumb penalties. Still, it was the first game and I still believe that we will get better.

Check out the following for accurate descriptions of Eagle and Cowboy fans and Strahan. Don't like the view on the NFL though - hope the guy is joking.

I watched the game too and I think 2 of those penalties on Taylor were bogus. One thing is for sure from Monday night if it is any consolation, is that the Redskins are sure to dominate the highlights of "Jacked-Up" this week, man, Taylor and company were really laying down the lumber!

If Springs is back healthy, we have a shot. If not, we will get eaten alive.

Hurrykaine, you are dead right that we need Springs back healthy fast. Secondary was Swiss cheese out there. Can't wait for TO to run into ST - that would be worth giving a 15 yard penalty for.

We either need Springs back or we need our pass rush to improve in a hurry.

Ugh. Must win next week? Probably not, but its damn near close.

I know that last years team would NOT have lost that game, so the only optimistic point I can find is that I expect the team to improve next week.

It's a bad situation right now. Dallas is going to be a test. A win would rectify everything.

I don't know about you guys, but that freaky injury on the first kickoff by Prioleau really seem to take that initial energy out of our Defense. I thought that Taylor was the only guy really laying out the hits. The Defense played OK, but Brad Johnson picked us apart on 3rd down, because he got rid of the ball so fast we could not get any pressure. We all know the key to beating Dallas and that is to get in Bledsole's face early and often. When he has time he will kill you. But when he feels pressure, like he did against the Jags, he will melt. The Skins Offense needs TDs in the Redzone, because the 3 FGs did not help last night.

We might get torched w/ no Springs. We got torched by the Vikes receivers. The boy's WR's are a little better.

I'm actually excited about our offense. There were flashes of brilliance (e.g., screen to open the game, toss to Portis for the TD, slant to Randle-El who almost broke one, etc.). I would like to see Cooley, Sellers and Lloyd more involved.

The only time we were embarrassed on offense is when Pat Williams got to the backfield to interrupt Brunell's casual handoff to Portis. Of course, getting near the goalline and not being able to score was embarrasing too, but that will get corrected as the season progresses. The left side of our O-line, especially the gap between Rabach and Dockery is worrisome.

TO has always manhandled Springs, even when Springs was in Seattle, so I'm not so sure having a banged up Springs in the lineup will help or hurt. Hopefully Sean Taylor get's in TO's head, early.

It would also be a huge boost if Portis was healthy enough to start. Betts doesn't scare anybody, and Dallas will eat him alive.
