Whatever Hall is doing for Gibbs/Snyder behind closed doors, it's enough to gaurentee him his cushy job for another decade or so.

What a let down. There's no amount of crack in the world that can pick me up after that loss. In our stadium, on 9/11, there's no reason that we didn't kick the $H!+ out of the Vikings. I think there is reasin to worry at this point.

The kicking game is what it is. There's nothing we can do about that now.

There are other teams with question marks at kicker. If Novak was so good, he'd be in somebody else's uniform.

For all the blame Hall is taking, why not throw some at Randle El for not getting the first down just a yard away on 3rd and 6?

Just based on how much more time he spends on the field, I think Carlos Rogers is far more of a concern than John Hall is.

When Hall lined up to kick that 47 yarder, it felt like a 67 yarder.
It wasn't REMOTELY close. Good snap, hold, and protection, but the ball may have hit the pylon. He can't kick off, there is something seriously wrong with this guy. We can spend 30+mil in a Arch, but can't address the kicking game? As much as Gibbs stresses 'Teams', I just have never understood this.

thats all I'm trying to say, once again I want to clarify that i'm not blaming this loss on frost or hall, the blame is shared,BUT THE KICKING GAME SUCKS AND HAS SUCKED,"We can spend 30+mil in a Arch, but can't address the kicking game?" great qoute,i think i said something similar a few post back
and yes we do have to live with the kickers we have now,but i dont have to like it,it SHOULD!!have been addressed in the offseason,it wasnt, and gibbs IS to blame for that

What about Carlos Rogers? Everytime I looked up he was letting another WR get by. He scared me just as much as Hall, at least I know Hall sucks. Was it just me, or did it look like Taylor was the only person trying on that defense, and credit to him for striking fear in the hearts of all recievers.
What did you expect?

Negatives: Showed much more confidence in his athletic ability in 2004, but in the past he would struggle in off coverage and give up too much cushion on the ball. It looked like he was hesitant to give up the big play … Has improved his work habits, but will do his "own thing" at times and needs to work in a structured environment to get the best out of his skills … Played mostly in man coverage in 2004 and had good success there, but still does not show a good feel to anticipate routes and is late on his turn when he peeks into the backfield too long … Has the speed to run with the receivers, but shuffles his feet too much through routes and lacks ideal hip snap to turn and run in transition … Can locate the receivers in front of him in zone coverage, but gets up on his heels too much … Not a fan of run support, as he gets tied up by combo blocks and gets soft when he has to face up to offensive linemen … Lunges and leaves his feet too much when making open-field tackles … The staff calls him a "coach on the field," but he has only adequate field awareness, shows stiffness in his turns, still allows too much separation and needs several reps to retain plays … Strictly a boom-or-bust type that may be better served in a Cover-2 system.

Williamsons' drops masked how bad Rogers actually played. How did you like the little dance that Rogers did after Williamson dropped that bomb. I guess he should dance now since T.O. is next.

Also read that Brad Johnson wore his old Redskins jersey while leaving the Vikes locker room after the game! Must be sweet vindication for him...

I think being a long fg attempt and halls history we should have gone for it on 4th and 1 . give it to duckett... then spike it and may have had chance for atleast 1 more if not 2 more passing plays to the sideline, if any completed thats closer for any fg attempt. no way am i saying i dont trust the play calling cuz im not a coach at all. and i still trust gibbs and co..

Hall missing the FG was regrettable, yeah, but there was no excuse for letting the game come down to that. We had every opportunity to lock that one up long before the final few seconds.

How about something like 5 redzone trips with one damn TD? Or how about letting the Vikings walk out with 9-17 3rd down conversions and being 4-13 ourselves? Those two major problems, an inability for the offense to score a TD when they're within smelling distance of the endzone, and the inability for the D to stop them on 3rd down is WAY more worrisome than Hall missing a 48-yarder.

once again frost and hall screw us,how can you bring those 2 back after last yr? some of the personel descisions are baffling, theisman said that last yr we were the worst in football where the other teams started their drives, how can you spend all that money on free agents and not upgrade these positions? Gibbs needs to get his head out of his ass and wake up,he's turned control of the off over to saunders,he doesnt coach def,wtf else has he got to do? how about wandering down to special teams and figuring it the fck out

A 48 yd filed goal is no gimme. This game should have never come down to a field goal let alone a 48 yard one. This team has a lot of work to do.

Hall didn't lose the game for us. He shouldn't have been put in the situation against such a mediocre team anyways...BUT HE DID BLOW OUR CHANCE TO WIN.

I also say we give Novak a call.
