Okay earlier i had said i watch espn and have watching some nfl network. I need to call comcast right now and cancel nfl network. On there show called nfl total access they did a preview of the 2006 season and rod woodson and marshall faulk both picked the skins to finish last in the divison. What did either one of those guys know about anything?

With very few exceptions, for the past several years ESPN's pregame show is at its peak ratings wise between 11:45-12:15. Particularly from 12-12:15. But then after 12:15 the ratings drop. Not by a dramatic amount but they definitely drop. At the final quarter hour they are their worst. By this time most people have turned to the network that will be broadcasting their team's game. So yeah it probably runs at least a half hour too long. But it won't become a 1.5 hour show. Plus it's much easier to schedule the rest of the day with the program ending at the top of the hour.
Didn't it used to be 90 minutes, from 11:30 til 1? I understand the programming part...it's funny you mention 12:15...isn't that about the time Jillian Barberie used to do the weather on the Fox show?

I never saw the Chris Myers show because the local affiliate plays Redskins related shows from 11 to 12.

i flip between espn and fox..

i like the way espn covers just about everything under the sun and fox they have some personalities up there too.
cbs i don,t watch much they get too hung up on what the afc is doing rather than paying attention to the whole league in general.

I don't watch any. I wake up at 9 am, shower, and drive to the sports bar around 9:30, get to the bar 9:50, order brunch and by the time I am done, the game is starting.

Life is good in the west coast like that.

You seriously just admitted to eating brunch on game day?

On game day my typcial 'brunch' consists of brats, chicken wings, and Bud Light.

here here...I guess that first Bud Light at beer thirty goes down pretty smooth...either that or is the hair of the dog.

I can visualize your Dad making bloody marys and drinking them on the way to the game...

He's been known to do that. He usually doesn't like to drink too much, so he'll buy two of those 22oz bottles of Corona and drink those and that's it. I need to convince him to drink them straight out of the bottle, but he tends to use a cup instead.
