I liked Ortega as well but I think the one thing working against him was his size. We know in this offense the TE has to be a blocker, and espically since Cooley will probably get the most receptions from that position. However that fact alone didn't have to be a permanent hinderence because he could always put on weight. Maybe he'll do well in Cleveland, and might even get a chance to play.

He is not close to Patten... What does that mean he will not spend the year on IR or inactive?
It means he's not as good :P didn't think i'd have to spell that out... and ortega probably will spend the entire year on the inactive list, since the browns have above average TEs.

Nemo's fat ass showed up on special teams whereas Ortega did not. Where's Robert Jphnson? IR?

i would havegladly taken buck ortega over nemo anyday, i think he is garbage and cant understand why they keep that guy around
I think its's presumptious to call Nemo garbage so soon. He's had limited playing time in a very crowded backfield.

Yea Buck Ortega is gonna be a pretty good backup in the league. The other bad thing about us releasing him is that it shows how desperate we were for running back depth (meaning the team officials are very concerned w/ Portis's injury)
