Hey guys, this mainly goes out to all the college students on this site, and those who have recently graduated. If you all are not aware, Facebook, the MySpace/Friendster version(except much less stalkerish) for College students, has gone through a significant facelift. Now there is a news feed when every you sign on, and it shows who has broken up with who, a link to new pics, when friends becomes friends, etc. Basically it only assists stalkers in what they do. It is really bad, and a majority of groups have been popping up that want to change it back. If you believe in the cause, please join on of those groups, and vote at this site. As of 9:57am over 19000 electronic signatures have been recorded of those who want this changed. Please vote if you have a Facebook account.

I've always wondered, why does everyone love some Facebook and MySpace. I'm just out of college, but everyone is like obsessed with it? Just curious.

I do not really know TMC. I hate MySpace, because anyone can join it, it is very stalkerish, and because idiots overcustomize their home pages, it takes forever to load. I like Facebook because it was geared towards only college students(well atleast it was, now high schoolers are in too), and because the Facebook layout is very simple and easy, unlike MySpace. It is a much less stakerish, or was until these gay changes, than MySpace.

I mean it is a sweet way of staying in touch with high school buddies that go to different colleges, basically. 99% of people do not use Facebook to meet people, but they will "friend" someone after they have met them in bioclass or oreintation. Usually people will not friend someone until, they have actually talked to them and had a conversation, and have hung out several times. It is not as lame as people make it out to be.

It shows you who's broken up with who? That's just odd. Matty inadvertently made me sign up for MySpace (that's right I blame you Ego!) and for the first week I was totally hooked. Now I rarely check it quite honestly. But feel free to leave me messages on my MySpace page!

Ahh, just wondering. I'm from the old-school class right before Facebook and MySpace came out where we'd just look in our buddies away messages and infos on AIM to find out other people to stalk! :D

We just kept in contact using AIM, even though people were just as obsessed there too.

I'd never heard of either of these until after I graduated college in '04, and I just can't get into them now. All of my friends are on myspace and it probably would be a good way to stay in touch with many of them, but that sort of things not really my bag.
For the most part, once I lose touch with someone I rarely look back.

I've also taken a vow with a buddy to never sign up for either, under penalty of catapult.
