This is pissing me off!TheMalcolmConnection 09-01-2006, 02:06 PM I need to write you a prescription for chill pills sir. CanadianSkin 09-01-2006, 02:07 PM Malcolm and Frankie have it right RELAX!!! You can worry if we do this in the regular season.... TheMalcolmConnection 09-01-2006, 02:12 PM Also, don't forget TAFKAS. He also relaxes. :biggthump Beemnseven 09-01-2006, 02:30 PM A lot of transit fans too because this is a transit area. The talk good about the team when all is going well, as soon as things get a little rough they jump ship. Bandwagoners, fairweather fans. I've been doing this a longtime. Actually, the test of a true fan is whether they hang around when the team loses. I find that when things are going really well, I personally don't have much to post about here at the Warpath. When they're winning, I just sit back and enjoy, but when they don't look too good, preseason or not, I'm going to call them on it. Many times, people who criticize the team's performance are either labelled fairweather/bandwagon, but in fact, if they're taking the time to type away, explaining their frustrations they obviously care don't they? Otherwise they wouldn't be here. SmootSmack 09-01-2006, 02:35 PM Also, don't forget TAFKAS. He also relaxes. :biggthump Damn straight! That only true fans complain. It's the same assumption that people make about the players and coaches. Because they're not crying on the sidelines, getting angry during post-preseason game press conferences there's this feeling that they're not trying to win, that they don't care. And of course, that's not true. CanadianSkin 09-01-2006, 02:44 PM Also, don't forget TAFKAS. He also relaxes. :biggthump Sorry TAFKAS..... You of course are on that list as well... Now if we can get the rest of the Warpath to follow you three and myself everything will be fine. It will be great when these posts are no longer in sight and we are all talking about how amazing the last game was and how much we are kicking everyone's arse.... TheMalcolmConnection 09-01-2006, 02:48 PM I'm hoping it'll be that the Redskins will be registered sex offenders after the violating they'll give the Vikings. Beemnseven 09-01-2006, 02:55 PM I don't mean to put words in your mouth here. But the implication is that those of us that don't get all worked up over a preseason don't care. Because they're not crying on the sidelines, getting angry during post-preseason game press conferences there's this feeling that they're not trying to win, that they don't care. And of course, that's not true. Well, let's not forget, it was Joe Gibbs that first starting calling the players' effort into question during the postgame press conferences. Very often, I find that people who criticize the team are called bandwagon fans. My point was to illustrate that if this was the case, then why are they here? They wouldn't waste time posting at a fan site complaining about poor performances if they are bandwagon fans. That statement can in no way be an indictment of those that refrain from bitching and moaning after a suck-ass preseason. I wouldn't say that those who dismiss the preseason don't care ... living in La-La Land maybe, but sure, they're caring people. TheMalcolmConnection 09-01-2006, 03:02 PM Looks like SI is drinking the preseason Kool-Aid. They dropped us to second behind the Cowboys. |
