Mike & Mike of ESPN radio briefly analyze and give predictions on two teams every day. Today they did the Skins.

Here's a link: http://skinsfan.us/redskins/media.aspx?file=mike_mike_2aday.mp3

Some Key Points:

Mike Golic thinks Portis will be fine come 9/11. Golic played with this type of injury and believes that Portis, as a RB, will be fine.
Tough schedule
Greeny Prediction: 9-7 - said he will probably regret such a low prediction
Golic Prediction: 9-7, Dallas wins divisionI respect these guys. I may not agree, but they don't have an obvious bias against the Skins like other "analysts".

I was just getting into my car this morning when they started. I think they're really underestimating us, but of course I'm biased. I like to think of it as an informed bias though. They're still hanging on the Cowboys nuts of course, not surprised there.

These predictions are not unrealistic. If the SKins want to go 10-6 or 11-5 or better they are going to have to get more fired up. It takes more than practice and talent to win big in the NFL. They need to play with their heart and emotions more.

Golic is usually pretty smart in his football analysis...but not this time. MAYBE he's just hoping the Skins will falter a few times and that it would hopefully help the Eagles out.

Cowboys...ha...sure...everyone knocks ths Skins for having Brunell at QB and say he'll be out downfall...but what about Bledsoe? He's NEVER been that great at QB, even in his "glory days", he got benched for a kid named Tom. In Buffalo, he was just HORRIBLE and hasn't done much better in Dallas.

I thought everything they said was justified and reasonable. Golic really isn't that bad.

You have to remember WHY Bledsoe was benched he suffered a devastating hit from Jets LB Mo Lewis, which caused internal bleeding in his chest, and backup quarterback Tom Brady led the team for the rest of the regular season. The best thing to happen to Brady was that injury to Bledsoe.

And oh yes even in his "glory days" as you put it he has more seasons with 370+ completions than any other quarterback in NFL history, been to the Pro Bowl 4 times from 2 different teams (once while in Buffalo when yousay he was "horrible"). And in 2005, Bledsoe became the 10th quarterback in NFL history to pass for 40,000 yards.

And he and Brunnel entered the league in the same year. So in comparison making these statements is a bit like the pot calling the kettle black.

i agree with sand here. if bledsoe doesnt get injured in new england, brady is probably still holding a clipboard. thats part of the reason im not ready to annoit bellichek as a genius quite yet. as far as brunell, the only difference is that brunell is still semi mobile. they dont call bledsoe the human statue for nothing

Who's Brunnel?
