I think Riggo said on the radio that the offense hasn't gone into motion yet (not sure whether that's true). That tells me that we are working on us, not on trying to beat the other team.

yeah, no need to test motion and shifts in a real game with time limits when its working fine in untimed practices ;)

gibbs first year back they had to ditch the shifting cause they couldn't get it in fast enough with the faster play clock.

last year it took our offense exactly 1 hour and 56 minutes to get off the ground after going 1-3 in the preseason and looking about the same as it has thus far this year.

not saying we're doomed or anything, but if you don't hit the ground running, sometimes it takes a while to get it going.

Good point, I think we will be ok this year, but might take a bit to get the offense, I mean come on, when you switch offense that is what happens, and Saunders offense is a bit more difficult. Just because people admit this, does not make them bad Skins fans or anything.

I don't think this excuses the poor play and lack of focus. The only plus here is that it may have contributed to the trade for TJ Duckett.

If we are only trading the equivalent of a third rounder, we have made a good decision there, especially if we can sign him to a longer contract as you would hope.

Installing a new offense is going to be difficult - and we are doing it with a new person in charge of the offense and a number of new players. So there is a lot to integrate and absorb. It will take time to adjust.

Still, we have been playing poorly and the foregoing isn't an excuse in my view.

exactly, i dont care if its 2% or 50%, but with that 2% u still want to see them execute it. doesn't matter how much of the plays they've used, they have'nt done a good job executing it yet. i could care less about the final score but i would like to see improvement against the brady bunch.

what good is any offense if you cant execute it?

His playbook is reportedly 700 pages, so that means we've seen 14 pages so far.

I hate math by the way.

I trust that Saunders konws how to implement his offense. My guess is that Gibbs has a blanket policy to show very little in preseason, and Saunders is simply following that order.

I agree that it would be useful to practice the shifts and stuff, but even if they don't, I'm not worried. Saunders has run a top 5 offense in the NFL for years. I like the comment about running plays to see what people can do--Sellars running, Jansen's blocking, We may see more tonight, but my guess is that it'll be vanilla until sept 11. Then we'll see.

Yes yes yes we are all impressed and overwhelmed at just 2%. I dont care if we run 2 plays, can we sustain a drive and have something to cheer about? To mark this shocking announcement of Al's I will be making vanilla shakes/or cones at halftime. Of all the flavors and added condiments that are possible, I choose to have the plainest one possible. I will also enjoy it in the dark, with earplugs on, and have one eye open to commenmorate how Al will ignore all the splendors of what is available as will I, this ones for you buddy. I've got vanilla fever and there is only one cure. Vanilla, plain pure vanilla.

While you make your vanilla milkshakes, I'm going to make cowbell ones.

Vanilla is consistently rated as more populat than chocolate... Unless it's FRENCH vanilla, from Baskins Robbins, which I call Freedom Vanilla.
