Kick Question

Veteran kicker Mike Vanderjagt said he doesn't know if he'll play Saturday against the 49ers after sitting out Monday's game with a sore groin.

"I have no idea," Vanderjagt said Wednesday. "I want to play so bad it's killing me. But I have to be smart about it."

Parcells planned for Vanderjagt to kick field goals Monday night and handle kickoffs against the 49ers, but said Vanderjagt pulled himself out of the Saints game.

"It's bothering me because I haven't seen him kick all camp," Parcells said.


To me, there's a world of difference between "may be in danger of not making the final 53-man roster" and "It's bothering me...".

It's also bothering him that he hasn't seen much of TO, but you know once the bullets are live TO will be in there. Same for Vanderjagt, he's too good to cut unless he's badly injured which he doesn't appear to be.

Like I said in another thread, I wonder how the team will take it once TO hasn't practiced and decides he can make it back for Game 1?

I heard Parcells talk about that I think as much "Douche-baggery" Vanderjagt is guilty of he can overcome that but with his track record, hahahahaha, I would be terrified if it was a game winning field goal.

I can't wait for Jacksonville to shut down the Cowboys opening day, TO not play and we can finally put this "Dallas it the champion of preseason!" to rest.

Vander will make the team, for cap reasons alone. He'd have to be out for a long time.
