not at all cuz CP will now have a reliable back give him a breather and be able to heal properly and not come back too early. plus with all the money CP's making he could probably care less about a less talented guy on a one year contract joining the rb group. as others have said, the only ones who should be pissed/worried r the other back ups.

Nah, it's not going to bother Portis, he's still our main guy and when healthy he'll get the bulk of the work.

Betts, Cartwright and Sellers are the guys that are upset.

Rich Eisen said last night on NFL TA that Rock Cartwright said it was like a slap in the face. I think he is taking this way to personal. Players are quick to point out that this is a buisness first when they are negotiating a contract but they expect some kind of loyalty when it comes to aquiring new talent.

I would have to say to them, "Stop whining." If you had the talent or the skills, then YOU'D be starting and they wouldn't have to worry about signing other talent. That's where you need to put your ego away and realize that this is for the good of the team and you're ON the team.

CP won't give a crap as long as the skins win football games. I really think CP is a team first guy and he realizes that Duckett will bring the pain on short yardage and goal line situations which will keep CP fresh for another playoff run.

very selfish if you ask me. not exactly what gibbs is looking for in a player. cartwright was all about being a "team player' last season. oh how quickly attitudes change.

So would you go out on a limb and say that your prediction for TJ is pain?

He kind of DOES look like Clubber Lang.

I hope Portis can understand the bigger picture here to get to the super bowl but he seems like the type of territorial player that this is going to be a problem for his ego.

Portis tried to recruit Edge, so we could have that amazing one two punch. I don't think he's territorial and doesn't mind splitting carries. He's been nothing but a team player since he came here. I think he's thrilled.

Seriously. Did he really go home and night and say, "Damn. I really have what it takes to start in this league." Sure, you have to have some self-confidence, but you also have to be realistic too.

Rock needs to step back and realize that he is important on special teams and that's where his bread and butter lies. He's never going to be a star running back in this league, maybe not even a starter. Betts could start and maybe be above average, but his injuries obviously caused some worry.

On a positive note, I read that Portis is ahead of schedule on rehab.
