I just picked up Lindy's 2004 preview, here's what they're saying about the NFC:
NFC East:
Eagles: Still division's best, although T.O. may be more trouble than he's worth
Dallas: Ready to make big move if they can establish a ground game
Washington::Gibbs can make magic happen if owner stays away
Giants: Could compete for no. 1 draft pick, which would make SD happy
NFC North:
Green Bay: Will Bret Favre ever retire? Doubt it
Minnesota: Root for any coach that works for Red McCombs
Detroit Peg them as this year's possible surprise
Chicago How can you not root for a guy named Lovie
NFC South:
Carolina: Can they win the close ones again?
Atlanta: It's all on Michael Vick's shoulders
Tampa Bay: Even Gruden needs a roster to figure out who's who
New Orleans: Saints aren't bad, but division's too good
NFC West:
St. Louis: They'll battle to hold off Seahawks again
Seattle: Defense must improve to win division
Arizona: Have to learn to win on the road
San Fransisco: This could get ugly...fast
Wild Cards:
Minnesota, Seattle
NFC Title Game
Green Bay vs. St. Louis

Jets Pennington can't do it by himself
Uhhh. Justin McCarrins, Santana Moss, and Curtis Martin puts Pennington by himself? I don't think so.
I don't understand why GB gets the credit they do. They're receivers are still awful, they have Ahman Green, but I simply don't expect a season like last year out of him again. I think they'll really slip this year.

The Jets arent going to be that bad. They sitll have a lot of talent on defense and Santana Moss could be one of the top receivers next year. I wouldnt be surprised at all if he was the top receiver next year.
Green Bay hasnt faced a lot of competition in that division. And apparently the lions, while seemingly have picked up a ton of talent, are unhappy with Harringtons growth right now. Ahman scores everychance he gets. Id still put Green bay at the top of the division to.

Brett Favre can still get it done. When he is playing for something (i.e. the Monday Night game after his father passed away) he's still one of the best. As long as Brett plays for GB I will root for them and they have a chance to win.

And how do the Baltimore Ravens make it to the AFC Title Game? Which of those teams knocks off the Patriots? I don't buy his assessment of the AFC. I believe the Pats are the front runners to win the Super Bowl again this season. This is a team who did nothing but get better over the offseason. With the only major loss being Ty Law they'll be fine. One corner didn't make that team great...I thought Lawyer Milloy was more important to that team and look where that got them. Anyway, they add Corey Dillon and get Roosie Colvin back, they're going to be dangerous.

yea well who thought anyone could knock off the bucs, expecially after their first game last season, then they didnt do crap. You never know what will happen but the Pats will be tough.

You don't consider Ted Washington an important part of NE's team? I bet they'll miss him more than anyone expects. I heard he actually called the defensive plays and was a real leader for that team.

but they did a really godo jobs of replacign him though. They will lose his leadership but probably get more of a passrusher now. Hes not really a pass rusher. But no one runs past him.

A rookie with a weight problem. Skins - just like any player, even Canes can bomb when they get into the NFL. I think it's a big position for a rookie and I think it will hurt NE (thank god)
