TMC, did you read this crap from LaVar?

NJ.com: Everything Jersey (http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/115587993254860.xml&coll=1)

"LB LaVar Arrington (aka Mr. Nickels and Thundercat) whipped out another nickname last night -- this time for the entire defense. "Voltron still hasn't fully formed yet," Arrington said. "We still had a solid showing with the first-string defense. I can only imagine what we will be once we get everybody out there."

Voltron? Voltron? Excuse me, but there's a certain receiving corps in Landover with rights of first refusal to that name:

Would'nt say I'm "worried" as it's only preseason. I would say they looked pretty impressive last night.

Manning looked comfortable, precise and in control. Their WRs looked good, and that Jacobs is one scary dude - a RB at 6'4 264 lbs! That's one hell of a guy to bring down, and he's not exactly slow.

Time will tell - I'd say of any team in the NFC East, I'm more worried about the Giants than anyone. They're very well rounded and deep on all sides of the ball.

Am I the only one who finds it humorous that he says "we" in referring to the defense? He was a complete non-factor in the game last night. He sounds like he thinks it's "his" defense or that he's leading it when the dude had hardly anything to do with the game.

It looks like the G-Men have critical injuries to work through on their O-Line

Am I the only one who thinks its funny that the Giants have Eli Manning, the younger brother of a star QB in the league, backed up by Tim Hasselback, the younger brother of a star QB in the league? The irony is that his backup is a daily reminder that he may never be as good as his brother... maybe just backup QB potential...

Just kinda thought it was funny. I'm sure it has crossed his mind...

Voltron? WTF? Has Lavar gone Tom Cruise and become a Scientoligist? What's next? He goes on Oprah and dances on the couch while proclaiming his love for Tom Coughlin?

Which leads us to what everyone is afraid to say about the Giants. The Giants are a team whose head coach will lead them to be underachievers.

They've got some talent and potential (but no where near what Giant Fan thinks) and TC will be the real reason why they don't come anywhere close to reaching their full potential. The TC record is clear and the reasons why this is the case are clear as well.

brandon jacobs still runs too high and is an easier tackle than his hgt/wgt would indicate.

don't get too amped on a good offense beating the crap out of a bottom 5 D. dallas exploded the saints too, but it had more to do with the saints being terrible and only lining up 3 worthwhile players in their starting 11 on defense (RE/LE/CB).
