The owner of my company hooked me up with some tickets to the game Saturday... Just wondering if anyone else is going? This is actually my first pilgrimmage to FedEx... Any advice?

This is actually my first pilgrimmage to FedEx... Any advice? Krills 08-16-2006, 11:34 PM I'm there...50-yard line, lower section. Get there early and bring lots of beer. BigSKINBauer 08-16-2006, 11:44 PM be loud, even though it is a preseason game. I have been to fedex 5 times, 1 preseason game back when canidate was our RB, 3 games last year(bears, chargers, and DALLAS), and this past scrimmage. I think i might be going this week which would be great. I asked one of my friends to go saying the tickets would be at little or no cost to him and he said NO. I was like what the f.... He said that it was a preseason game and he didn't want to "waste the entire day". Now he is as big a skins fan that I know. He would rather just watch at home. Now i bring this up because of this. I explained to him what i think about fedex. You used the word pilgrimmage and I agree, this is the mother land. I say hello to the stadium as I get there and goodbye when i leave it. I make sure to get one last hard look at it because I don't ever know when I'll be back. It is where I am with the 90,000 people I love most in this world and it has been for good times for me. I felt a horrible low after the chargers game as I was on my knees after the last play of the game with people walking around me. It was also where I sat sipping the players gatorade after the dallas game which was the most fun game i have ever seen. I lied to lavar there about the price of my jersey so he would sign it. I saw my favorite players in the parking lot and had good times right in the fans lots. I cheer and have been worried. I've chanted and screamed. It is the best place in this world. I am sure you will have a hell of a time. Do you have a parking pass? If so, I like to get tehre early and see the players or just tailgate a bit. If i go i'll have a pass but i won't be there early this time so I don't "waste the entire day". I usually go 3 hours before a game but that is when I prepare myself for the game. I promised him i would get there right before 8 and the game, which makes me mad. Have fun ArtMonkDrillz 08-17-2006, 12:13 AM I'm going this week, sitting in club level. I've been to so many games the past few seasons that I have actually learned that I really don't like the club level. I've only sat there for preseason games, but everytime I'm there and I stand up and yell people look at me like I have three heads or something. I'd rather be up in the nose-bleeds where we can go nuts. Eight in the Box 08-17-2006, 12:17 AM I'm going this week, sitting in club level. I was sitting in the club level for the season opener against the jets a few years ago and the people there were acting like they were at some hip swanky club and paid no mind to the gridiron battle going on in front of them. I like it up top with the true fans in section 418! Luxorreb 08-17-2006, 05:27 AM I"ll be there. You guys planning a warpath meetup? Taking the metro in so I'll join any tailgate that'll have me. I'll pay ya back in regular season!!! Gimme a shout! Thanks! cpayne5 08-17-2006, 08:14 AM I'll be there. Front row near the Skins tunnel. derrickskins 08-17-2006, 08:29 AM My advice is to come early and stay late. I'm in section 109 by the Skins tunnel. I usually get there about 3 hours before the game and leave about two hours after the game. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE FED-EX. Remember, there are less than 10 venues in America the size of Fed-Ex, and it is the largest (by about 20,000) venue in the NFL! BleedBurgundy 08-17-2006, 09:41 AM Thanks everyone. I do have a parking pass, and I'll find out today where the seats are (he overnighted them to me...). Are there generally any areas that are good for getting autographs or pics? ArtMonkDrillz 08-17-2006, 10:11 AM I guess I should mention that there is at least one good thing about the club level: The Hooters. I like to consider the club level Hooters the All-Star team for the area because the girls are from all over the area. Good times, especially for a preseason game. |
