I just read the article in the new SI about Gibbs.I found the article to be more entertaining than informative but enjoyed it anyways. What I liked most about it was when they mentioned how Gibbs alredy had a shower installed in his office and a pull out sofa.So much for taking it easy this time around huh Joe.I love it and am even more excited about the season than ever. The only thing that bothered me about the article was the title "Joe and the space cowboys".How dare they put the c word in an article about Mr.Gibbs.That is blasphemy!

"In Joe Gibbs first season back in a decade he successfully sweeps the Cowboys. Giibbs is noted as saying I always had Parcells and the Cowboys, its nice being able to beat them both at the same time"
might not be so bad to have his name in the same sentence as the Cowboys

SI is always full of "fluff." But, great to hear about an article us 'Skins fans want to read.
Is this article in the latest SI? I'll have to pick it up. Football mags should be hitting the shelves soon, anyone seen any good ones yet?

Matt, it looks like this article will be in the May 31st issue of SI, which should be hitting most mailboxes today.
SkinsNCanes, there is a minicamp coming up June 4th-6th, but all minicamps are closed to the public. It looks like it might even be tough for me to get in there this time, as Gibbs indicated at the last minicamp he would like to start severely limiting the number of reporters that are permitted to attend the minicamps.
Gibbs also suggested that he wanted the full-team portions of practice closed entirely, meaning reporters would only get to see the first 30 to 45 minutes or so of practice-- which mostly consists of stretching and some positional drills. Needless to say, the reporters were none too pleased when Gibbs began experimenting with that policy during the Sunday session of the last minicamp in early May.
Fans may not be too pleased to learn that Gibbs may be planning to close the majority of this summer's training camp to the public, as well. It certainly won't be anything like Spurrier's wide-open, laissez-faire attitude towards public practices. There was even some indication that the team might have a special "Fan Day" practice or two at FedEx Field, to appease the fans, but then the rest of training camp would be closed.

it sucks that we cant go watch them but I think its a smart idea. Everyone is dying to know what type of offense Gibbs is going to run after having been out so long, and theres no sense in us giving it away this early. Let them adjust at halftime.
Thanks joecrisp

Darn right, I'm way out in AZ so I can't make to any camps anyway. But I can't see letting the enemy in to figure out what Coach has planned before we start the season.
