Betts is the next L.J. Theres no way we trade him. They dont got nothin we need. maybe a punter, but theres no way we trade him for a punter

Thanks dude I enjoyed that. I want to see Lumsden begin to work his way into the rotation this year. The down side to his game seems he runs TOO upright and hes taller. Still this kid has that something I think that we want to have him do for us.

I would maybe take a 2nd for Betts. If they take jacobs with betts i'll settle for a 3rd.

Seriously i would take a 7th in the 08' draft for jacobs because i think he is off the team anyways. I just think he will be really good when he goes somewhere else.

So in other words Ladell Betts is a franchise player? Has he ever played a full season (in a backup role I might add)? If they offered a proven offensive lineman, I would pull the trigger immediately.

I don't think anyone is saying that Betts is a great franchise back. However, I think the general consensus is that we should not give up a key player just when we seem to have everything in place for a Super Bowl run. He might not be a starter, but he is an excellent change-up back who could step up if, God forbid, Portis went down.

Also, I don't know of any young, proven offensive linemen on the Jets roster.
