We need to make sure we keep our o-line together as long as we can. They did a solid job last year and I expect the same thing this year. Dock is a huge part of that and he definetly belongs here. Now I'm not so sure.... jdlea 08-10-2006, 07:08 PM Derrick Dockery just keeps getting better. I don't think the Redskins need to put 5 Pro Bowl caliber guys on their o line. There isn't really a need for it. Derrick Dockery is a pretty good left guard. I think he deserves a spot on this team. I don't think the Skins could go out and try to sign a big name free agent to be the left guard and be positive that he can not only start, but pick up the offense and provide a significant upgrade to Derrick Dockery. Dockery has a few things going for him. He's been here for a few years, he keeps getting better and he's a pretty young football player. All of those point to a guy this team needs to keep to me. Defensewins 08-10-2006, 07:13 PM Depends on what he wants as compensation. He is not deserving of a big money contract. He is an adequate player up to now, he deserves an average pay rate. In the mean time we need to keep drafting linemen on both side of the ball and try and develop cheap alternatives and quality backups. The only skill position we really need to address is CB since Springs is nearing the end of his useful career. Dockery has been pretty good in the system, hussles all the time (See 1st Philadelphia game). The way the whole line gels together is far too important for that.
