After this year, providing Dockery shows us the same thing he showed us last year, should we resign him??? I think he's ok (as do most people) but should we spend money for a free agent when we have a solid guy that knows the system at left guard??

Resign him! We need to make sure we keep our o-line together as long as we can. They did a solid job last year and I expect the same thing this year. Dock is a huge part of that and he definetly belongs here.

RESIGN HIM !!!! He's been here for a couple years and he HAS improved during that time. Continuity is a good thing on the O-Line. I say keep the Dirtbags together.

I would have said yeah until I saw he was only a 79 in Madden. Now I'm not so sure....

Derrick Dockery just keeps getting better. I don't think the Redskins need to put 5 Pro Bowl caliber guys on their o line. There isn't really a need for it. Derrick Dockery is a pretty good left guard. I think he deserves a spot on this team. I don't think the Skins could go out and try to sign a big name free agent to be the left guard and be positive that he can not only start, but pick up the offense and provide a significant upgrade to Derrick Dockery.

Dockery has a few things going for him. He's been here for a few years, he keeps getting better and he's a pretty young football player. All of those point to a guy this team needs to keep to me.

Depends on what he wants as compensation. He is not deserving of a big money contract. He is an adequate player up to now, he deserves an average pay rate.
In the mean time we need to keep drafting linemen on both side of the ball and try and develop cheap alternatives and quality backups. The only skill position we really need to address is CB since Springs is nearing the end of his useful career.

The team chemistry means more at this point than having another pro bowl type guy there. Dockery has been pretty good in the system, hussles all the time (See 1st Philadelphia game). The way the whole line gels together is far too important for that. On top of that...he's still young and improving. I say resign him x 100.

We have to resign him for consistancy's sake.
Plus, am I mistaken or did I once hear that Bugel loves him?
