Come on now fellas give Troy is dues. He was a very good QB and does a pretty good job in the booth too. The man deserves to be in the HoF.

Congrats Troy. steveo395 08-06-2006, 11:27 AM It was'nt till I saw his stats that I realized how good he was . Congrats Troy. if anything, his stats make him look worse...they're worse than mark brunells, who is not even thought about to make the hall of fame. he's only in there because of the three super bowls SmootSmack 08-06-2006, 01:01 PM It was'nt till I saw his stats that I realized how good he was . Congrats Troy. I always thought your guy Phil Simms should get more serious consideration for the Hall. I'm not a Giants fan but he was very similar to Aikman, a solid, accurate passer and the perfect team leader. And his Super Bowl performance has to rank as one of the greatest performances by a QB in any game ever. redrock-skins 08-06-2006, 02:09 PM No more watching HOF ceremonies until I see Monk get in. Enough of this crap! MTK 08-06-2006, 02:11 PM Simms has solid career numbers and of course you can't forget his incredible Super Bowl performance. I think he's right on the borderline. He fought injury problems most of his career. If he had been healthier his numbers would be much better and he would probably be a sure Hall of Famer. CRT3 08-06-2006, 08:15 PM His stats suck. His winning percentage is good but not against the skins He won the most against toward the end of his carreer when his buddy Norv was sinking our ship. In his hey day we played him straight up like the average QB he was. 1989 1-15-0 Jimmy Johnson 3 | Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1989.htm) | L | 7-30 9 | at Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1989.htm) | W | 13- 3 (THIS ONE HURT THE MOST) 1990 7-9-0 Jimmy Johnson 3 | at Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1990.htm) | L | 15-19 12 | Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1990.htm) | W | 27-17 1991 11-5-0 Jimmy Johnson 2 | Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1991.htm) | L | 31-33 13 | at Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1991.htm) | W | 24-21 1992 13-3-0 Jimmy Johnson SUPER BOWL CHAMPS 1 | Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1992.htm) | W | 23-10 15 | at Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1992.htm) | L | 17-20 1993 12-4-0 Jimmy Johnson SUPER BOWL CHAMPS 1 | at Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1993.htm) | L | 16-35 17 | Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1993.htm) | W | 38- 3 1994 12-4-0 Barry Switzer 5 | at Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1994.htm) | W | 34- 7 12 | Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1994.htm) | W | 31- 7 1995 12-4-0 Barry Switzer SUPER BOWL CHAMPS 5 | at Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1995.htm) | L | 23-27 14 | Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1995.htm) | L | 17-24 1996 10-6 Barry Switzer 14 | Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1996.htm) | W | 21-10 17 | at Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1996.htm) | L | 10-37 1997 6-10 Barry Switzer 7 | at Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1997.htm) | L | 16-21 12 | Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1997.htm) | W | 17-14 1998 10-6-0 Chan Gailey 5 | at Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1998.htm) | W | 31-10 17 | Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1998.htm) | W | 23- 7 1999 8-8-0 Chan Gailley 1 | at Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1999.htm) | W | 41-35 7 | Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was1999.htm) | W | 38-20 2000 5 - 11 0 Dave Campo 3 | at Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was2000.htm) | W | 27-21 15 | Washington Redskins (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/was2000.htm) | W | 32-13 Giantone 08-06-2006, 09:40 PM I always thought your guy Phil Simms should get more serious consideration for the Hall. Phil is a great guy and was a heck of a ballplayer ,he's still just 1 of 5 QB's to throw for over 500 yards in a game .I just did'nt think he was HOF stuff ,I think his injuries will be what keeps him out. Rhaamses 08-06-2006, 11:04 PM I think both Phil and Troy are geat QBs. Troy won more games in the 90s than any other QB, but his OL, RB and top two passing targets were a better combination than any other team. Phil did not have that talent. This is why I give respect to a team that can win with a guy like Mark Rypien. |
