Landis Test Positive for Doping

rumor has it that the bsb is doping. how else could he have reached 4000 so quickly.

For whatever reason under my motor sports responsibilities at ESPN falls cycling. So yesterday I was talking with his PR people when I found out. All I could think was "of course" He insists it's a mistake but what else would they say?

see and with all this news of the ridiculous frenchmen, here the skins are about to try one out...

That really sucks! I was really happy for the guy.I hope it's not true.

Would any of these guys really be happy with themselves if they won after doping?
When it all comes down to it, cycling is an individual sport. So, wouldn't the knowledge that you only beat these other guys because you cheated always be somewhere in the back of your brain? Are they so obsessed with winning at all costs that they don't care if they only won because they cheated?
Or maybe they think "well, since everyone else is probably cheating, I'm just leveling the playing field."

I've just never understood why someone would cheat in an individual sport. (for some odd reason I can see why people do it in team sports, I can't explain that one) Maybe I'm just naive.

PS I'm not saying I believe Landis cheated, but I am saying he looks like Kid Rock.

I dont know what doping means I didnt read the article but cycling would need doping for my viewing pleasure.

If I really wanted an adrenaline boost, I'd just snort a line before I started biking.

Definition of Doping (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doping_(sport)). When talking of cyclists, it's usually blood doping (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_doping).

I'll wait for the B sample to be tested before jumping to conclusions (when testing, the WADA takes 2 samples each time). If he did, then he should face the consequences, but an abnormally high level of testosterone could be from anything, not necessarily doping.
