If these experts would actually take a second to look at how the contracts are structured, and understand that guys like AA are never going to see most of that money, they might just make sense for once. Besides, isn't it a little early to proclaim someone is overpaid until they actually play?? We heard people say that Griffin was overpaid, we paid too much for Springs, too much for Moss, etc. Well, how overpaid are those guys now?? THANK YOU! If the Redskins overpay for talent and win the division, and the Eagles underpay (or undervalue) talent and come in last, why is it that the Eagles get praised? steveo395 07-26-2006, 05:30 PM i hate the media if you have cap room, use it...it doesnt do you any good if it just sits there number21isabadman 07-26-2006, 07:19 PM seriously and with the new collective agreement, why not lock up your best players and over pay for a few good more, i also feel that lavar just doesnt have the killer instinct thats goes along with being a linebacker, he just to laid back and passive. Not in his Penn State days. He had fire. Played like he came out of a State Penn. Some of that I think stems from him freeloading and taking us for granted . Well he was our franchise player. Sold more jerseys than anyother. But this is a great opportunity for Snyder to make more off of merchandising. I'm just not into buying replicas anymore. Hog1 07-27-2006, 05:33 AM There never seems to be a shortage of Dumbass's exclaiming the "sky is falling". Somehow, Snyder continues to expertly dodge the pieces ArtMonkDrillz 07-27-2006, 08:38 AM Not in his Penn State days. He had fire. Played like he came out of a State Penn. I'm thinking that I just might have to get some decent Skins polos or sweatshirts and rock those to the stadium like I do for UMD games. scowan 07-27-2006, 09:07 AM I agree with you about the jerseys at this point. I'm thinking that I just might have to get some decent Skins polos or sweatshirts and rock those to the stadium like I do for UMD games. I got away from jerseys awhile back. In the last two years I have bought two Redskins short sleeve mock turtle necks, like you see Tiger Woods wearing. (I have red and white) and a sideline Yellow Redskins polo. I hate buying jerseys in this day of free agency. Now I would not mind those throwbacks. A Theisman, or Riggins, or Monk, will never go out of style. Heck, I have a Rypien that I bought back in 1992. It's a throwback now. GTripp0012 07-27-2006, 11:00 AM Has anyone who ever claimed that, "Terrell Owens makes Dallas a legitimate Super Bowl contender" ever realized that he plays wide reciever, and touches the ball 10-12 times on a great day? He could be the best wide reciever in the league, but for his signing to have more of an impact than Edge in Arizona, or Drew Brees/Daunte Culpepper makes no sense. These guys touch the ball more than 25 times a game. Owens will help, but how exactly does an upgrade over Keyshawn make Dallas a Super Bowl contender. Yes, Dallas is probably a playoff team, but I think that has more to do with the natural progression of their young defense than the signing of Terrell Owens. But super bowl contender? C'mon. ArtMonkDrillz 07-27-2006, 11:29 AM He may get the ball even less if their o-line is as crappy as most of us expect it to be. Plus, terry glenn is still afraid to extend his arms out if Taylor is lerking, so it looks like we can just double up t.o. if we feel the need. |
