How quickly we forget... I give you The King of all Redskin man crushes:

I cant even think of who that guy is, Who is he? I'm naming him "The Bone Crusher" your right he is huge I would think he would be a beast out there. But I do love our backs, I started this thread b/c outsiders were hyping up Betts slightly more than what I think he would be worth to other teams. With us having rock right behind him we def. have guys who can get the job done. In fact Rock is really who I root for and would like to see him with good fortune and have great games out of. Each one of them have yet to reach their heights of potential and are still young , I hope we they would enjoy finishing their careers in DC.
On a side note, I have got to get one of those water dispensers.

Yup, we all did. To his credit, he DOES play Special Teams and is fairly beastly. He just blows up blockers.

Wow he is gigantic(McCune). Nemo-there just doesnt seem to be room for him. I cant be excited about him b/c preseason isnt such a good gadge to show your talent. I dont see him making any noise.
Without starting a new thread one of my favorite underrated guys is by far my man, Mike Sellers. He has the heart and power to be our "Alscot". Coming from a Community College he was a long shot to make it in the league and now I see him having a long career and being recognized around the league as one of the top fullbacks. Just another guy defenses better not ignore if he slips out of the backfield. He will be one of the guys I look forward to meeting at training camp this year. He derserves a pound for the respect he has earned. Welcome to the greatest show on turf. Coming soon to a stadium near you.

sellers was never a long shot for the nfl. he just got messed up on his transcript to college and had to help his family or some such. youngest player to ever play in cfl i believe (at 19), so he was pretty well regarded.

some rb (nemo or maybe lumsden) will make the PS, so its not impossible for him to stick around. betts will probably be gone next year (assuming someone overpays trying to make him a starter) so the future #3 might be open.

Betts might be the best short yardage back on our roster . I would also believe if he were a true #1 back ,,, he would not be with us . Lets hope that Portis never gets hurt and we will not have to find out , but I like the fact we have a big back as our # 2 .

The worst fumble in recent Redskins memory for me is Stephen Davis' goal line fumble against the Arizona Cardinals.
The one I remember was in Dallas on a Monday night during the Schottenheimer days -- the Skins were up 7-6 in the last 4 or 5 minutes of the game, with Martyball (true to form) trying to protect that whopper of a lead. Davis pounded the ball over and over into the line when the inevitable happened -- he fumbled. Dallas gets the ball back, moves down the field effortlessly and they kick a field goal to continue their miraculous winning streak against Washington.
Disgusting. Anybody miss Stephen Davis now? Turns out we got rid of him at exactly the right time.

What about when the 0-4 Redskins were holding onto a 7-6 lead against the 0-4 Cowboys on Monday night and Davis fumbled while all the Redskins were trying to do was run out the clock, and then they went on to lose 9-7? That was dreadful
Guess I should have read the rest of the thread before responding.
