I've heard of VIP passes for the training camp, I've heard of VIP passes at the ravens camp which I think they get from giving donations and from their corporate jobs. Can anyone relay how they came across them and does anyone have passes they would be willing to part with so that I may be VIP'd.

A lot of people get them through Home Depot, which has sponsored training camp the past couple of years. I don't know anyone personally who gets VIP passes, though. I would imagine FedEx gets a pretty generous allotment of passes as well.

i think some people with expensive fedex seats get them. it only lets you stand about 5 feet closer though and isn't that big of a deal.

Yeah, I think the only real benefit is that you can sit down and still see everything. But you're still limited to the roped-off VIP areas, and you have to stand inside those ropes to wait for autographs, just like the other fans. Of course, you get a little more access to the players as they walk off the practice fields, being that you can catch them all as they enter the patio area.

Plus, I think VIPs get guided tours of the building before practice. But those might be the extra-special VIPs I saw doing that.

Yeah, I used to work for a Co. that provided security for the Ravens at their hotel, training camp, home football games, and stadium. The only benefit I saw was that they have tents and cannopies set up for them that shade out the sun while they watch on the sideline and were positioned in an area the the players had to walk by before they walked past the public. While other fans were cheering or screaming I could even overhearing players talk not trying to hide their intentions they would wave to VIP and sign for public, just toatlly ignoring the snobby VIP's who expected they had unlimited access like they expected to suit up themselves. Ray Lewis, Woodson, Sharpe would steal my golf cart and take a detour of the grounds to avoid signing for people all together- maybe a kid here or two during regular signing moments. I just want to sit in the shade and give my boys a pound as they walk by.

I got them for one day last year through my dad's work, NVR Homes. The president of the company is Dwight Shar (sp?), he owns a minority share of the Skins so the company always gets passes and really nice seats for games. My pops and I are trying to get passes again for this year, but we probably won't know until the day before.

I'll let you know, but like I said, we probably wouldn't know until the day before. In fact, last year we decided to go to the afternoon session at like 10am the day of.
