I'm guessing it's more of a passing geared league.
Why is Ricky Williams "sucking" in the CFL?MTK 07-13-2006, 07:24 PM I'm guessing it's more of a passing geared league. Redskins8588 07-13-2006, 07:26 PM he was fine in miami last year, i think they still own him. He's still a decent NFL runner, and i don't think his CFL stats are really something to be concerned about. i am pretty sure that the dolphins own ricky also, and if i remember right i think that Saban still wants ricky on the team next year. For some reason Saban likes ricky and was upset about him being suspended, not upset at him. Also i dont think ricky ever complained about his salary either, he was getting close to league vet min last year and he was fine with that. remember he had to come back or repay the dolphins something like $8 million. so, you can pretty much add that to his pay in a way too.. That Guy 07-14-2006, 02:53 AM saban likes ricky, cause ricky can still run. and as a #2 RB, you're not going to find much better. saban only looksk at talent and whether he can get that talent to show up on game day (which he's done fairly well thusfar). dmek25 07-14-2006, 06:16 AM a pass happy league and only 3 downs to make a first doesnt equal a consistant running game hooskins 07-14-2006, 09:00 AM a pass happy league and only 3 downs to make a first doesnt equal a consistant running game yupp that is why he is still in the top 5 in yards. MTK 07-14-2006, 09:04 AM I wouldn't be surprised if the Dolphins set some sort of maximum carry clause on Toronto. gibbsisgod 07-14-2006, 09:43 AM I wouldn't be surprised if the Dolphins set some sort of maximum carry clause on Toronto.i dont think toronto would even agree to that. MTK 07-14-2006, 09:56 AM i dont think toronto would even agree to that. Really? For the extra publicity I'm sure they would. I'm sure having an NFL player on their roster has helped sell some tickets. Monkeydad 07-14-2006, 11:56 AM i also think the only reason he is even playing up there is to stay in some kind of football shape Yep, if he doesn't continue to get a paycheck from an NFL team, his debt to the Dolphins will force him to move in with MC Hammer and Mike Tyson. armchair jock 07-14-2006, 01:09 PM Yep, if he doesn't continue to get a paycheck from an NFL team, his debt to the Dolphins will force him to move in with MC Hammer and Mike Tyson. I don't know about MC Hammer, but Tyson could probably play in the CFL and they wouldn't even have to pay for a helmet. |
