Hey guys, remember that time roy williams got burned twice by Santana and lost he game for the cowboys on nationat TV? That was pretty awesome.

When did that happen? Surely you can't be talking about All-Pro 3 Time Pro Bowler Roy Williams? Must be some other guy, because i know that RoyGod would never do something as bad as that.

[QUOTE=FRPLG]Arch is not as bad in coverage as his rep would have you believe. He isn't great but he can do an average job.

average? for the money were paying him he better damn sight be better then average,he needs to make the probowl,we shouldnt be paying that kind of money for average

I didnt agree with archuleta being over rated. I think he will excell in williams' defense and will be a great safety for the skins.
who would you have chosen to be our overrated player instead? AR-el? carter? samuels? has to be somebody, and i think that's the right call.

for under rated you also had marcus and griffin and cooley... taylor is actually better know than all those guys (maybe even combined).

i had real problems with both roth as overrated (W-L, SB) and carr as underrated (i honestly think he's just not that good).

big ben is overrated. He is in an amazingly easy system for a QB. He proved himself in the playoffs a bit but he didn't in the super bowl. This article made me so happy. I hate williams

i do think williams is a bit over rated but.... i could easily see him along side sean taylor in our defensive back field.in the right system he could be a monster

I am glad Sean if finally getting his due in the NFL. He is probably top 2 or 3 at his position. The thing I get so pissed off about is the kicking and beat down the give Arch in every article I read. They keep bringing up the coverage skills. One, he is playing in a totally different defense, it isn't the cover 2 crap they played in St Louis. Two, he will not be asked to cover guys for an extended period of time, due to the aggressive style of defense we play. Three, Sean is our better coverage safety anyway, plus I think Arch was in the plans when we all say Clark get run over by LT in overtime. I believe, if you dont tell me why, that Arch was brought in more to rush the passer as a blitzer and cover the run. I dont think he is going to be in pass coverage as most seem the think.

But, Sean "grim reeper" taylor is a total beast. PS. sorry if that is spelled wrong.

I do think that Ben is overrated. Look at the situation that he landed in when Pittsburgh drafted him. He went to a team that has a solid ground attack, a good o-line, good receivers and one of the best defenses in the league, not to mention very good special teams play. Hell, I would bet that Eli or Phillip Rivers could have put up simialar numbers to Bens had Pittsburgh drafted one of them. IMO, Ben landed in the best situation imaginable for any young QB....I would say you would be correct if this was a veteran QB. He is young and new to the NFL and thats the reason he is not overated. The guy has gone in and done everything that his team has needed and then some.

I wonder if they've ever considered moving him to LB. Seems like a better fit there for him.

Definitely. A big hitter with minimal coverage abilities...sounds like someone else I know...

I agree. I think Greg Williams will use Arch to the best of his abilities (not the worst), which will probably mean more hitting and less coverage. You just gotta trust GW!

exactly arch is a strong safety, just like roy plays less in coverage and more to the line of scrimmage for the run support. But roy had the reputation of being this all around badass safety which is truely not the case. He is in no way deserving of ed reeds contract figures.
