I do feel like I would want some kind of a job, mainly for the conversation and whatnot. But I would want something really easy where I'd only have to work a few hours a week. Maybe like a bartender at a sports bar or something. Better yet, it could be a sports bar AT THE CENTER OF THE EARTH!

I'd actually volunteer being a clerk at a porn shop and a bartender by night. One of my buddies worked in a porn store and has the best stories of anyone I've ever heard. Bartending would just help me to get high on my own supply.

This reminds me, i just want to say, F going to summer school ten days after the regular school year gets out. This is hell, and there isn't anything good about it. I never knew school could be this strict. Trust me, i've learned a valuable lesson from this. Do your f'ing school work so you don't end up in this place like me.

Yup, there's only a couple people I know who could heed that advice on here unfortunately.

Well, you all would be like BSB. I am enjoying myself and would have it no other way. I went to grad parties for a couple of weeks and those are now dying out. Now I spend my time going bowling and playing poker. The truth is after a while there is nothing left to do but the good thing everyone is in the same situation so we all get bored together and have to find something to do. I could imagine it would get horribly boring if all your friends had work and didn't want to do anything late at night or something.

I take it you'll all have some kind of funds to support your new lifestyle so I won't go there. I tell you this though, you'll get bored eventually. The first year or two might seem like heaven but at some point you'll realize how boring your life is. People _need_ work.

I think the main thing that would get annoying is the fact that all your friends would most likely be working. It's one thing to go to bars or play poker (in person) or whatever with other people, but if you're alone all the time that's when you get bored.
BSB sort of touched on it, at least most of his friends are also doing nothing so they can get together and figure out ways to pass the time. For the most part, all of your friends are going to bed early on the weekdays and they'll probably use their weekends to get stuff done, like going to Home Depot or maybe Bed Bath and Beyond if there's enough time. That's why you'd get bored rather fast.
If I were to become instantly set for life through the lottery or a lawsuit or something I think I would try to bankroll some friends just so I'd have people to hang out with when I want. No wonder rich people have entourages.

AMD - At these prices, I'm not surprised...
Funds of support aside, as much as work sucks, I'd have to do something if I wasn't working. Doesn't have to be work...I kinda see myself doing what Drew Carey does with the US Soccer team. I'd take a few classes, buy 10s of thousands of bucks in camera equipment, and travel to different places taking photos of nature, sports, etc.
In between trips, i'm sitting on my ass doing nothing.
