I got to say that I consider Jay Schroeder to be one of the most valuable players of the Gibbs I era. Nope we traded them Humphries for a 1st rounder who ended up being Desmond Howard. x44x 06-29-2006, 04:15 PM Oakland traded away offensive tackle Jim Lachey to the Washington Redskins for quarterback Jay Schroeder after Lachey had played just one game for the Raiders. Current NFL executive and Raider Hall of Fame tackle Art Shell was the Raiders offensive line coach at the time. Shell remarked to reporters that he was the only one in the room, who said, "Don't do it!"
