We do have to sign the draft picks, but that shouldn't be too much of a hit with only 2 picks in the first 5 rounds.

They've already set aside a chunk of money to be able to sign those guys. Even after that, we're still safe under the cap.

"They've got DB's that run 4.3's. I go to run a fly route, and they just turn around and start running. What am I supposed to do about that?"

HAHAHAHA! "I think I have a concussion."

Maybe TJ will grow a sack and live up to his potential.

Remember Stephen Davis? He needed some time at FB before he found out how to run with power.

Perhaps TJ needs a similar smack in the face to wake him up.

What Davis really needed was a beatdown at the hands of resident douchebag Michael Westbrook. I'm a douchebag, and I'd be happy to punch Taylor Jacobs in the face.

I think if Jacobs stays on the team, it is because Saunders has found a way to use him somehow differently then how we have been using him in the past. Patten seems like a team player now, but dont you guys remember all that smack he was talking during the season last year? Patten is a good receiver and i would hate to see him go, but couldnt we just trade him, instead of releasing him?

Maybe as proof that people who LOOK like men can actually have gaping vaginas?

I would be careful to judge any WR in our offense the previous 2 years, Moss's ability to seperate from defenders regardless of whether or not they knew where he was going is IMO a big reason why he's the only
WR to have any real success within the last 2 years.

What made Patton so great last season? In fact he was complaining about his lack of success in our offense before he pulled a Jacobs and was put on the IR. What made him a desirable commodity was the Patriot offense and Tom Brady, if you believe Jacobs wouldn't be head and shoulders better right now playing in that offense instead of our's the last 2 seaons your only kidding yourself, this season will be a true test for Jacobs, I believe he will excell under Saunders, the only question is can he stay healthy? And that's a big if, but I do believe the talent is there to be a top #4 WR.

I think the battle for the #4 spot will come down to value on specials, as I expect both players to really play well in the pre-season, and the fact that Patton is a veteran looking for significant playing time may winde him up else where but we will see.

Why is this year the big test for Jacobs vs. last year?

He had his chance last year and simply didn't step up at all. Patten is unquestionably the more accomplished and proven WR. That's not even debateable.

Regarding injuries, Patten had a legitimate injury and the team put him on IR, he didn't take himself out of a game with a headache like Jacobs did.

Right, Jacobs might have all or MORE of the physical tools needed, but he just doesn't have it upstairs.
