Actually, the second violation gets you a four game suspension. The Third gets one year and then you have to petition to rejoin - It's not automatic that you get back in.
Not according to CNN's story on this subject:
"A player who tests positive twice is fined the value equal to his pay for four games. A player who tests positive a third time is given at least a four-game suspension. A player who tests positive a fourth time is suspended for at least a season."

My bad - I saw the story after I posted. Now, for my retraction:
I think sometimes on this forum, we get bad information, and we get it from sources we think are reliable, but that is no excuse if we run with it. Such was the case in my post on Ricky Williams. I can find no corroborating evidence that Ricky Williams will be suspended for four games. I apologize to the Miami faithful who got very nervous over my earlier post, and to Williams.
Classic JoeRedskin, just classic, LOL

Proving, yet again, that JoeRedskin knows more than the rest of us "nimwits" on this site! Are you going to start posting about women's softball? LOL :D

Also, this gives the league policy on substance abuse.

That's just not right! Fox Sports 2 at 2 am?!?
C'mon now.. you can find better than that! Here's what you do: First, use the "Ricky Williams Relaxation Method" (patent pending), then grab that remote and start driving. At two am, there's always a Harry Potter movie on somewhere on HBO. They're plenty long enough to pass out to.
Yeah, I'd guess that to be pretty damn relaxing. Not that I'd know anything about that.
And there's always Skinimax. Skinimax works too.

I think the Dolphins might cough up some of this 900k's. And honestly I doubt they care too much as long as he doesn't ever test positive while in a Dolphins uniform again. He's single handedly brought a mediocre offense into contention and done nothing but whipass since he's joined the Dolphins. Not in recent time (including Stephen Davis) have the Redskins seen such a powerful back... Hopefully this season we'll see crazy!...
As for smoking a joint in the offseason should have less consequence than a DUI, coke etc. That argument is in another forum far far away.
Ricky is a badass. Whether he wants to smoke a j in the offseason or shit how about after running 200 yds and getting the shit pounded outta him? Guarantee ya that alot of players get legal drugs way more powerful than weed to help them through injuries and bruises. Remember seeing Terrell Owens on the sideline after getting his shoulder dislocated? He was happy as a mofo. But bottom line is rules is rules and well rules are meant to be broken and changed...
God bless America!
GO SKINS!
