Cuban's Karma

I could be going out on a limb here, but Mark Cuban is originally from Pittsburg, so I'm assuming he's probably a Steelers fan. Isn't it ironic that the Steelers won a Super Bowl that many felt was very poorly officiated the same year that his very own basketball team lost the NBA finals because of, in his opinion, bad officiating?

Is this karma, coincidence, or conspiracy?

the guys at work were all asking me what i thought of the officiating.

I think Cuban's brand of ownership has helped and hurt the Mavs. During the regular season, how he's commanding the attention and getting on the refs can be a good thing. During the playoff run, I think it proved to be a distraction that the Mavs didn't have the heart and will to overcome.

I think the Mavs caught a bad case of D.Wade. The officiating was questionable....but the Heat had several people in foul trouble last night including Shaq.

Bad officiating didn't cause the Wade-rape.

I didn't watch much last night and I went to bed at the start of the 4th. However, at the beginning of the 4th in game 5 they showed the number of freethrow attempts for the game up until that point: 45 for Miami, and 15 for Dallas. Even if dallas was playing "Hack-a-Shaq" for the whole game, that seems pretty skewed to me.
Apparently Wade has followed in the footsteps of LeBron, in that if a defender looks at him a foul is called.

Exactly...add to that Mourning just smashed everything in sight! He was just ridiculous last night! The Mavs have no one to blame but themselves.

That foul shot Dirk missed at the end of game 3 will haunt him for the rest of his career.

Wade is unbelievable though. He was playing out of his mind throughout the finals.

I do think there was possibly a message being sent to Cuban...he will not and cannot intimidate the NBA. This bad blood between him and Stern will play out next year though!

Dallas fell into the same groove that lost them games 3, 4, and 5 - they shot jump shots instead of attacking the basket. When that happens, you aren't going to see the attempts, and the officiating will look worse than it is.
