ok so im sure many of you have thought this, maybe even has been a thread...
but why didnt danny boy try to buy some of the Nationals?....it would be good for him, because with his fat checkbook he could load up our team, bc there is no cap, and the Nats will be sick, which would increase sales, and he, in turn, will make more money. Basically I just wanna see this happen so the nats become better, they need more green(and no not weed)so they can get better players

he was involved early on in one of the bids for the Nats. I don't know how involved he stayed and I do know his team did not win.

I believe the NFL has a rule against dual sport ownership. can anyone verify?

Snyder wouldn't be able to own a team in another sport in another market that has an NFL team. For example, he can't go buy the Pittsburgh Penguins.

But it's not like the Lerner family is broke. They have plenty of money. Give them time and a new stadium the Nats will be at the very least competitive. They're not going to go out and just start buying players though, that's not really President Stan Kasten's philosophy

for some reason the whole management thing with the nationals is a catastrophe. i dont know if its city council , no stadium, or what.it just seems like one big cluster-f**k

I've been saying that about Snyder since the Nationals started looking for an owner last year. By the way, did anyone else happen to go to the game on Saturday? That was one of the most exciting games I've ever been at, especially since Rivera blew it. I can barely talk today.
