haha. I'll buy him to do my yard work for that. He'd show up late and wouldn't do it though =/

Yes I think this is a new NFL rule they will now call the "Chamberlain exception" - you can budget some players on your roster to play for $47.50 a game ($47.50 x 16 games = $760.00/season).

The advantage to the rule is that you can save a ton versus your salary cap, but the disadvantage is that you will have one player who will be making so much less than others that it will be hard for him to feel a great deal of self-respect.

The lack of self-respect is compounded by the adjunct NFL rule that requires
these players to wear large patches on their uniform with the letters "CE" for Chamberlain exception. The CE players also will not have their last name on the uniform, but it will also say "CE" where the name is usually emblazoned.

Some miserly owners are already trying to cut costs by stocking their roster with "Chamberlain exceptions." Fans of those teams will know that the management is being cheap though because most of the players will have CE on their uniforms.

I'm in a silly mood tonight...

Funny you should mention it but I just got picked up by the Chargers via the CE rule. Weighing in at 187, they have me slated to be their new DT!! The CE rule allows fans like you and me to have the best seats in the house; staring into the mug of Jon Jansen before he decapitates me!!

You know, by rule you have to have a certain number of olinemen at the line. So what you should do is have 10 DBs, five hudled up on each side of the oline, and blitz like fast little crazy men to get to the QB. Leave a safety back and hope they just arent prepared. Its kinda like running puntblock against five wides in madden, sometimes you get the safety, other times you give up a 98 yard play.

Anyhow, you weighing 187 made me think of that.

Chamberlain isn't going to be able to afford his three extra value meals super-sized/day on that salary.
