That'd be me. I got the acceptance letter when I was back in MD, so I'm pretty pleased about that. I guess I'll get to meet BSB in person
Guess who else is going to UMDPages :

DO you know what you are going to be studying? ArtMonkDrillz 05-24-2006, 10:52 AM A sociology degree is a waste, even if you claim that you aren't just majoring in it b/c it's easy. BDBohnzie 05-24-2006, 11:21 AM as is a History degree...especially when you have no interest in pursuing any kind of teaching or research. jdlea 05-24-2006, 12:30 PM I'm a computer engineering major, but that's not technically my major right now because as I transfer student, I have to take Physics, Chemistry and Calc first. So, after about 2 semesters I'll actually be a computer engineering major. But I'll be taking a lot of the classes I need in that time and I should be done relatively soon since I have my AA in programming and took a couple engineering courses last semester. BigSKINBauer 05-24-2006, 01:15 PM Computer engineering just sounds hard. i am finance or accounting and management or something like that. I have to pick my major at orientation. Did you live in Maryland before you went down to Tulane? dmek25 05-24-2006, 03:38 PM hey jdlea, CONGRATS. and hanging around bsb can boost your social status, big time:) dmek25 05-24-2006, 03:39 PM sorry,i forgot to say "the bsb" BigSKINBauer 05-24-2006, 03:44 PM that is very true dmek. Guess what, the other day I was on the phone and called myself The BSB. That was kinda wierd. saden1 05-24-2006, 06:03 PM Congrats for getting into UMD. Computer Engineering is one of those majors that's different from school to school and quite vague. Before you major in it I would advice you to find out exactly what classes are you required to take and what type of jobs students who graduate from UMD land. Also know that people who have computer engineering degree's don't fair well in the software development job market. p.s. You should all probably major in business/economics with a minor in Chinese. edit: I'm totally dyslexic. |
