A keeper league is where you need atleast 8 or 10 guys minimum that will be loyal to the league every year. At the start of the league you would decide on how many guys your team is allowed to retain for the next season. For example lets say you have Peyton Manning, LT, and Santana Moss as your big three players, now for the next season you are only allowed to guarentee that one of them will be on your team. So if you pick LT then Moss and Manning go back in to the rest of the draft where someone else can pick them up.

That would be fine I just want to get in to a keeper league really bad... The hardest thing is just finding the people to stick with it...

I'm the commishioner of my keeper league, which costs me $130 a year at sportsline and now nfl.com, but its a great service. So whats another $10 really.

Thanks, i do agree with most of your assessment. I guess the main point I was making about Big Ben is that his offensive system is not one which yields high fantasy points, seeing that some games he only throws 15 times, maybe even less. Talentwise, I do think he is much better than Brunell, but I do feel the system that Brunell is in, esp this year with Saunders, will yield higher numbers than our buddy over in Pittsburg.Last year they had a power running game. Without Bettis, I see a team very reliant on the screen game. Thats easy pts for Big Ben.

Gang,

I would be interested in getting into a keeper league with some Redskins fans.

GTripp, I am with you on the Steelers throwing the football a lot more in 2006. They can't ride the "Bus" to pay dirt anymore so you will be seeing a lot of screens and passes thrown to Heath Miller in the red zone.

I still can't believe the Steelers got Miller that late in the draft.

Could I make the suggestion of a Dynasty league? It is like a keeper league except you keep your entire roster (or at least the great bulk of it). It's a really cool way to do a league, because you really have to put together a lasting franchise.
