I dont understand why you think that Indy's o-line sucks? They only gave up 17 sacks, and Edge did gain 1500 yards running behind them.Maybe because their QB is the best in this business and Edge aint bad himself.

No, I dont think that LJ at #2 overall is a bit high or over rated for that matter. I understand that he lost his OC and Fullback, but the guy is good and the most important IMO is that he will still be running behind that same o-line. To me the o-line is just as important when you start looking at RB's for fantasy football. I mean, Bush is a talented RB, but do you honestly think that he is gonna run for like 1500 yards and 10 tds behind that piss poor Saints o-line? I dont. Also look at a back like Willie Parker for the Steelers, IMO he would not be as good on a team that had an average o-line. And I really dont think that KC will totally revamp there O in one season... But that is what makes fantasy so fun everyone has an opinion and you watch the season to see how close you were...

I agree, KC's line is still solid and Johnson probably will have a great year once again. However, if I have the 2nd overall pick in our draft and Tomlinson is still on the board, even with Rivers as the new QB, I couldn't justify taking Larry Johnson over him. It's entirely possible that Johnson continues what he started last season and smashes every rushing record ever set and I look like an idiot, but I almost feel okay with taking that risk based on LT's stellar past.

I would take Johnson with the first overall pick if I had it. But since I'm in a keeper league, I'll just have to decide between Roethlisberger, Moss, Moss, and Dunn.

Hooskins,

First off, thanks for drawing interest in the site. We look forward you to visiting it often. Or hope you do!!!

As for Reggie Bush being ranked at #34 overall, it could be a strech but the big play potential is there. Bush will be on the field ALOT in the "Big Easy" as a RB, WR, and playmaker. He will get his chances, get his yardage and factor in as on of the Top 40 fantasy players as a rookie. College or NFL, he is one of those players you just "have to" take a gamble on.

As for the Big Ben vs. Brunell comparision, I am without hesitation taking Big Ben. Roethlisburger only got better in his 2nd year in the NFL, and he will continue to. Yes he lost Bettis and Randell El, but the Steelers have showed more indication of throwing the ball to Heath Miller in the Red Zone in 2006. Also Big Ben is young, reliable, and clutch, you can't go against that. If Brunell stays healthy he can post nice fantasy numbers, but he is getting older, and the body is showing signs of wear and tear. I just couldn't take a gamble on Brunell over a guy with the ceiling of Big Ben.

As for Santana Moss, whats not to like about the guy. He makes big plays and has the speed to catch the deep ball and makes the most out of nothing. Ranking him at #26 overall is on point in my opinion. Per our rankings he ranks as the #9 WR behind Smith, Johnson,Harrison, Owens, Fitzgerald, Moss, Holt and Boldin. I think that is a fair assumption.

Lastly, we will talk a little Colts football and Joseph Addai. With that high octane offense in Indy, Addai is going to get chances, plenty of them. Intially, word is he will split time with Dominic Rhodes, but one the Colts see Addai's explosiveness, field knowledge and knack for getting the extra yard he will be the go-to RB. Hell the Colts didn't draft him in the 1st round for no reason. Not only is Addai going to factor into a solid fantasy option in 2006, he is one of those young backs everyone will want their hands on in Keepers Leagues. And that is because the Colts move the football and MANY goalline chances await.

Hope this helps!!!

Thanks, i do agree with most of your assessment. I guess the main point I was making about Big Ben is that his offensive system is not one which yields high fantasy points, seeing that some games he only throws 15 times, maybe even less. Talentwise, I do think he is much better than Brunell, but I do feel the system that Brunell is in, esp this year with Saunders, will yield higher numbers than our buddy over in Pittsburg.

GTripp,

I might be able to help you out between your decisions on who to take in your keeper league. First, I need to ask a few questions.

Who have you currently kept?
What is your points system?
Last, how many QBs,RBs,WR,TEs, etc. do you start.

Hope to make that #1 pick worthwhile.

Personally, I swap draft positions and take 6, 7 or 8 but if you twisted my arm and made me draft in the 1, 2 or 3 pot I would without hestation take LT. This is despite the fact that I drafted Larry Johnson last year in round 8 and won my league championship. I love Larry Johnson's potential but right now it still is, to me, just potential. LT's yearly stats are too impressive for me to ignore.

Hope to make that #1 pick worthwhile.I am barring injury going to keep Willis McGahee, Ronnie Brown, and Cadillac Williams. Our point system is QB friendly, that is 6 pts for any TD, 10 rush or recieving yards to a point, and 25 pass yards to a point with a 2 pt deduction for a fumble lost or an INT. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 1 K, 1 Team D, 2 WR, 1 TE, and one WR/TE flex.

I have the 4th overall pick in the draft. Mere speculation implies that the best players to make it through the keeper rounds will include both Santana and Randy Moss, Rudi Johnson, Chester Taylor, Roethlisberger, Reggie Bush, Warrick Dunn, Jamal Lewis, and Curtis Martin. I feel fairly confident in saying that Johnson and Bush will go one-two in the draft. The third guy will likely keep 2RBs and a WR, so he could easily go Roethlisberger with that pick.

Given all the above, I have a good idea with what I should do, but 2nd opinion surely can't hurt.

moss would be a good pick up (either one). bush is probably the better long term guy, but since you already have 3 starting RBs and 2 are in their 2nd year...
