Lloyd or Randle El?dmek25 05-14-2006, 09:42 PM lloyd hands down.a natural reciever but...randle el is more of a playmaker Gmanc711 05-14-2006, 09:43 PM I'm going to go with Lloyd here. I think Randel El could have a bigger impact on the team as a whole as far as the kick returning and special teams goes, but I think Lloyd will have the biggest impact on the passing game. He is our biggest reciver (which really isnt that big) and he attacks the ball which is key. I think he can take some good pressure off of Santana and will be a great addition in the WR corp. skinsfanthru&thru 05-14-2006, 11:52 PM I gotta go with Lloyd cuz he's a bit more proven as a wr and is going to be our chain mover and go up and grab it redzone guy. Master4Caster 05-15-2006, 12:17 AM Brandon Lloyd is a natural wide receiver and will see more balls his way than Randle-El. This is no knock on R-E. I suspect the coaches have other ideas for him, including special teams. With all the competition, no one should be surprised to see better production from David Patton and maybe, just maybe, from Taylor Jacobs if he makes the cut. Apart from the question, all the Redskins moves this off season suggests to me that the team thinks this is the year! Their free agent and draft moves are made for the here and now. MightyJoeGibbs 05-15-2006, 12:46 AM I Think El will be the special teams returner and appear for half the time with Patten. Lloyd will be #2 We have missed an impactful player since the great BMitchell. This on paper comes at the best time with new additions, Delicate QB health and deliverance, the defense has compromised in the secondary and Empty LA's old side is available. JoeRedskin 05-15-2006, 01:49 AM I just think that the Skins are in a no-lose situation either way. I am pretty sure that, whoever our No. 3 WR is, he could start for any other team in the league. Last year we had a No. 1 WR in Moss and a bunch of No. 3's and 4's (and 7's and 8's - but I digress). While Cooley was great, I don't think teams felt they had to cover him deep - his speed isn't going to scare anybody. So, even though he was a receiving threat, he probably didn't pull much coverage away from Moss (the guys covering Cooley weren't going to be the deep help on Moss). With either El or LLoyd out there, teams will simply not be able to triple up on Santanna, and, if they double him, either LLoyd or El should be able to make them pay. So many weapons. So few balls. The season starts when? TheMalcolmConnection 05-15-2006, 09:41 AM Honestly, with all these weapons SOMEONE is going to have another huge year. Whether it be Cooley or Lloyd, one of those two is going to put up huge numbers. celts32 05-15-2006, 01:46 PM I like Lloyd better as a WR...but I like El better overall because of the added dimension he brings on Special teams and gadget plays. But I guess since the question was just about the Redskins passing game then i have to go with Lloyd. Luxorreb 05-16-2006, 07:14 AM Moss, Lloyd, Patten, Randle El, Jacobs. We will all benefit from this lineup. Then add Cooley, Fauria, Portis and Sellars as possible targets we're truly undefensable! Man I can't wait. Not picking either cause it's a team thing and we're gonna win the Superbowl! backrow 05-16-2006, 08:50 AM After Moss, there is no #2, or #3. Each has his own gifts and abilities, and their efforts and skill will be used to the maximum extent possible. |
