What? You mean he takes 6-7 steps instead of 2?
What the Wizards need this yearTheMalcolmConnection 05-10-2006, 03:39 PM What? You mean he takes 6-7 steps instead of 2? That Guy 05-10-2006, 03:48 PM we need shaq in his prime, but who doesn't? i doubt there's contract space to get close to garnett. maybe our killer GM can make another kwame-like trade with haywood and possibly jarvis... he traded two problems for jamison, and another (worthless) one for caron. let's see him do it one more time... 12thMan 05-10-2006, 04:12 PM I think the consensus is in: We keep Gil, Butler, and Jeffries....if anyone is expendable of the big three it's Jamison. Wilcox could be a possibility. I don't see us prying Wallace away from the Pistons. They'd be nuts to let him get away. KMart, hell no!!! Basket case! Bottom line, who ever is playing with the Wiz next year needs to have more heart when it counts. One thing that I didn't like this past year was their shot selection..that most definitely has to improve. inwaterby8 05-10-2006, 05:15 PM Jarvis and his glass knee caps need to go. I would love to have Wilcox inside blocking shots and grabbing boards. He was my second favorite player on UMD (behind Dixon, obviously) and I think he could bring the same presence to the Wizards. With that being said, I heard on the news this morning that the Wizards don't have any room for movement in terms of the salary cap. Apparently there won't be too much change because Grunfield wants to try to keep consistancy. But if they don't get some defensive help, they will consistantly make an early exit from the playoffs. lebron travels, a lot Yeah, - but, If the player wants to come to Washington, They'll pay him the exemption salary, and give him mad bonus up front, then after the first year, the team is entitled to be over the cap. I tell you who had better be back, and that's Eddie Jordan....they would be nuts to let this guy go to the Kings! That Guy 05-11-2006, 10:14 AM yeah, he might need a defensive specialist type though... but he's the first decent coach we've had in forever. 12thMan 05-11-2006, 10:18 AM yeah, he might need a defensive specialist type though... but he's the first decent coach we've had in forever. Most definitely....I actually think they can get by without a dominant big man, if they get someone of Ben Wallace's ilk. Of course, I had to name the best defender! After watching L.Hughes struggle, I don't feel so bad about them not giving him that big payday. Monkeydad 05-11-2006, 11:40 AM I think all we need is a center. Wilcox would be great. Garnett may not fit into the system, look at the mess in Miami, too much talent brings inconsistency. Forget Miami, look at the Knicks! Kenyon Martin is fragile. He never makes it through a season. Yep, option 3. Free agency. Redskins_P 05-11-2006, 01:40 PM The Wizards may need a new coach next year. Looks like Eddie Jordan is one of the candidates to replace Rick Adelman in Sac town. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/05/10/AR2006051002341.html I honestly think we should keep him, but if we can get some compensation, then go for it. |
