About the only British shows I could watch was "Benny Hill". and anything with Rowen Atkinson. Sitcom wise.

Just two quick things check out Luther on BBC America awesome cop show, and two I don't care what anyone says, America now makes the best beers in the world. Yes Guinness and Harp are two awesome Irish imports, and the Germans have made plenty of great beers over the years, but no one is doing what we are doing these days. Dogfish, Lefthand, Anchor, Victory and Southerntier are changing the way alot of us approach beer....sorry mini rant over.

I agree that we now make some fine beers. Give me an Anchor Porter...yum yum yum. Therefore that Monty Python joke I posted is a little dated. But it still applies to the dominant market of Bud/Miller/etc.

Ditto on both points. Luther is one of my favorite shows I've seen in recent times. It helps that they don't have to spread the drama out over 20+ episodes. Such an awesome show.
In terms of beer, micro brews are changing the way all Americans drink beer and it's about time people wised up to this.
Lotus 03-26-2012, 10:10 PM During the World Cup in Chicago in 1994 I ran into some fans from Germany. I'll never forget their question - "Where is the REAL beer?" Luckily I was able to send them to Goose Island Brewery.
