I definately have faith in our staff that they made the right decision on him. Its just not what I would have done in that situation. We paid too much for him.

And Bledsoe? Bledsoe? Bledsoe stepped out of the shower this morning and got sacked again by Phillip Daniels.
THAT's HUMOR!!

But seriously Dboys, you cannot be holding out Denver, NE, Philly as the model teams of the new Millenium??????? Only one of the three is even in the same league (from as accomplishment standpoint)as the SKINS under JOE. Incidently that includes Parcells. That having been said, why would we be inclined to follow that example? Joe is not afraid to be the innovator. Don't be afraid to Lead!

its not my fault you don't get simple 6th grade math, but i don't blame you, you are a cowboys fan.

we gave up 3 picks, we got 1, instead of 3 players, we end up with 1, meaning we gave up 2 players. seriously, what's your problem understanding that? its not that hard.

DBoy's is arguing over semantics. We used 3 picks to draft Rocky. But we only gave up two more than the second rounder we would have used anyway.

The point that is forgotten here is that we moved up from the end of the second round to the start of the second round. That costs something. For us to do it and aquire our target we had to trade our second rounders and give up two additional picks.

let me explains in terms you might understand ok...... If I have a Babe Ruth rookie card and you want it and I say you need to give me your Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle and Pete Rose cards for me to give you my Babe Ruth 1. How many card you need to give me?...................... 3 yeahhhhhh and how many card I'm going to give you? 1 ok thats math.

But that isn't really what is happening. You are trading your Bade Ruth card for a Barry Bonds card and you (obviously now) have to throw in a couple of other cards that you don't really know thier worth.

If it were just a one for one trade wouldn't it sound funny to hear someone say we traded, but I had to give up one card...

I think the traded card is implied.

Go easy on him, he's a Cowboys fan, so by definition he doesn't really know what he's talking about.......he only thinks he does. He's probably still just bitter over the fact that his team lost to the Skins twice last year and couldn't make the playoffs.

Off topic? Yep, but I still enjoyed it.

I don't think it has to be that complicated.

The redskins gave up 2 picks to move up: (1) next year's 2nd rounder and (2) a 6th rounder this year. The moving up part was the redskins swapping our 2nd rounder with the Jets' 2nd rounder (moving up from 53 to 35).

I don't how that concept can be that complicated. And I am trying to think of some metaphor to help explain it, but anything more that I add would just confuse things even more.

it's not about the points it about the players you can get with your pics

Which must be why every single team in the NFL (including the Cowboys) subscribes to using the exact same point value chart?

I don't think the baseball card analogy is fair because we already have an assessed value of those cards. McIntosh's value is speculative as is any other player drafted as part of this trade. At best the analogy is: I'll trade you my (w*a), (x*a) and (y*a) for your (z*a). W, X, Y & Z are the anticipated future values of (a) player. The Redskins, obvoiusly must think that Z is going to be a greater value for them than a combination of W, X &/or Y.
