Texans Reach Contract Agreement with Williams, will pick him No. 1BleedBurgundy 04-28-2006, 09:36 PM http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/news/story?id=2426003 itvnetop 04-28-2006, 09:39 PM Wow... it all comes down to contract figures... Williams is solid, but this may come back to haunt the Texans. Frost 04-28-2006, 09:42 PM no fricking way,,, ohhhhhhh thats a major blow,, i was sure they were gettin bush,, wow,,this should deff make things more interesting itvnetop 04-28-2006, 09:42 PM this probably puts bush in the NFC... brees, bush, and duece... pretty scary. WestCoastSkinsFan 04-28-2006, 09:49 PM I would think that the Saints might try to trade out of this pick. They've backed McAllister through a decent amount of turbulance before, and since other teams aren't trading for the #1 overall selection, the price should be a little easier to stomach. If anything, I could see the Jets jumping up a couple of spots, as they could use a RB with C-Mart winding down. I guess it all depends on how serious they feel their need for a QB is, and if the Saints would even consider trading out of the #2 spot. itvnetop 04-28-2006, 09:51 PM I would think that the Saints might try to trade out of this pick. They may even have to use Vilma as a trade bait. That Guy 04-28-2006, 09:52 PM saints need D'Br F more anyways... this does change the draft, but honestly, th texans have a good RB, a PB return guy and a true #1 WR. he would have made a good #2 WR, but williams helps them more. 3-4 or 4-3, he's a beast in either scheme. That Guy 04-28-2006, 09:54 PM the jets would probably give up the 4, 29, 35 plus other considerations for the pick. They may even have to use Vilma as a trade bait. why? bush without an oline or QB is a bit pointless, especially at the price of 3 starters. Saints might not take him either anyways, and the titans are going QB. Vilma will never be trade bait, his cap hit is too high to follow through with that. there cap situation is bad enough already. BleedBurgundy 04-28-2006, 09:58 PM I just can't believe anyone but Bush at #1... WestCoastSkinsFan 04-28-2006, 09:59 PM This probably screws up Kiper's daggone top 10. |
