why? bush without an oline or QB is a bit pointless, especially at the price of 3 starters. Saints might not take him either anyways, and the titans are going QB. Vilma will never be trade bait, his cap hit is too high to follow through with that. there cap situation is bad enough already.

we're talking about a new york professional sports franchise... marketing bush as a jet means millions to these guys. if i were a gambling man, i'd say the jets are extremely interested.

think its a bad move by the texans. he was projected mid first round, or late top ten earlier, then workouts were good. dont think the workouts could move him up to #1 legitimately, but thats the texans decision. i think its a bad move. they needed to help carr out, and that isnt going to help him out. if anyone besides bush it should have been d'brickishaw...

Last time a defensive end was taken #1, it turned out to be a bad move. Then again, i think Mario Williams is way better than Courtney Brown. Still, I think the Saints take Bush, then trade him. They don't need a running back, when Deuce is healthy, he is one of the best.

It makes some sense. They already have D. Davis in the backfield and while he's no Reggie Bush, he's a pretty good back. They just better pray Mario Williams is at least as good as Julius Peppers and Reggie Bush isn't as good as his billing.

I don't agree with the move at all, but I can at least come up with some arguments in favor of this move. It's probably boneheaded, but only time will tell.

I have heard numerous scouts who are outside of NFL teams mention that they think Williams is way overrated. In fact two of them when sent to scout the wolfpack for the respective orgs said had they not explicitly known to watch him they would not have noticed him much at all.

This is a terrible mistake.

How do you pass on a guy who is considered one of the best prospects to come into the draft in years?

Stupidity.

I retract my previous comments. I just read they paid Williams $54 million a year for 6 years! A $9 million per year end (even if it is backloaded)?!?!?! He'd better be the next Reggie White at that kind of money.

Crazy, absolutely crazy.

Am I the only one that things reggie Bush is a part-time player at best in the NFL? I guess Ill have to wait and see, but I question if hes as great as everyone thinks.
