Ravens | Team could trade down in first round
Wed, 26 Apr 2006 18:03:53 -0700
Dave Hutchinson, of the Star-Ledger, reports the New York Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) are in discussions with the Baltimore Ravens (http://www.kffl.com/team/8/nfl) to try to obtain Vanderbilt QB Jay Cutler (http://www.kffl.com/player/13538/nfl) with the No. 13 overall draft choice, according to a person who has contact with several NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl) teams. If Oregon DL Haloti Ngata (http://www.kffl.com/player/13470/nfl) is available for the Ravens (http://www.kffl.com/team/8/nfl) at No. 13, the deal will be off. If Ngata is gone, the Ravens (http://www.kffl.com/team/8/nfl) would trade the No. 13 overall pick to the Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) in exchange for the No. 29 overall pick and the No. 35 overall pick. The Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) would then take Cutler with the No. 13 draft choice. However, the deal would be dead if Cutler is not available.
The lion could take a QB, they also like Huff
Eagles, Ravens, Dolphins all like S Moss
If the jets miss on cutler, they'd try to get K Clemens instead
R Bush will get a contract offer tomorrow from the texans
I guess the NY media has too much time and not enough to do. This one seems a bit more plausible at least.
